If Canelo and Cotto cannot come to terms on a date or venue, GGG would be willing to fight Cotto any time, any place. GGG isn't worried about Judges. Matter a fact, Cotto might not even have the judges in his pocket vs GGG. GGG knows he can stop Cotto.
Canelo would beat Cotto IMO. And then Cotto would call it Quits. That means no Cotto for GGG, And that doesn't help GGG when it comes to becoming PPV.
He Needs To Fight Both
Once he is done with them, then they can fight each other.
I dont think that is going to happen, and i dont think he needs both. He is quickly gaining a strong fanbase. Look at a how long it typically takes to build a fighter and compare with the 2 years GGG has been shown. He hasnt even fought a huge name yet and he is already getting good numbers. If he fights Canelo(I dont think Cotto fights him) and wins then he will be pretty big. Not Oscar level but pretty good. If he fights Ward and Froch after that and wins, all bets are off.
Cotto is holding that belt hostage and Canelo would do the same. GGG is more worthy than Canelo. I wish Sergio had beaten Cotto. We wouldn't be dealing with this stupid sh1t.
I don't mind Canelo/Cotto, so long as the winner fights GGG. That probably won't happen unless Canelo wins.
GGG vs Cotto in the Garden is a sell out and a PPV! I think Cotto vs Canello might be slightly bigger in revenue but not by much.
The smart move is Cotto vs Canelo the winner has GGG! That would generate interest, be legit and offer boxing away out of being a low line interest throughout sports media's!
These weight classes are all screwed up so why not make another class up for GGG vs Ward at 164lbs!!!! Make the weights even and attainable and add in a 60% /// 40% split, winner at 60%. If you want to ad fighting back into boxing make it worth it!! If you like pure boxing without inside fighting and power shots watch amateur boxing!!!
Promote something worth watching that's exciting and meaningful.

Cotto isn't below 160. In fact he's the 160 lbs champion, the best middleweight in the world!
What are you saying that his title is a joke and he's never beaten a healthy middleweight or something?
GGG kills everyone at 160 as well.
You must obviously not be from the East Coast. You recommended Philly as a neutral site?
Let me tell you. Anywhere in the Northeast will be jam packed with Puerto Ricans. Whether it's Boston, Connecticut, Philly, New York, or Jersey.
This could be an idea.
The United center would also be a good Idea.
Now, Of course I am not from the East Coast. What do you think The Bay means. Yea, I am in Andre Ward Territory.
Cotton beats GGG, the same way he bet Sergio,,, all the Sergio dick riders disappeared.the same way all the GGG dyck ryders would dissapper. Cotton is too fast and to good of a technical boxr to lose to a novice like GGG,,, it would be just like the cotton vs mayorga fight
Of course Cotton would beat him. He's the P4P GOAT. But what about Cotto?
80,000 boxing fans. Good Luck. This ain't the UFC. MSG is not the place for Cotto vs Canelo. It should be at a Neutral Site. Philly is a great fight town, Wells Fargo Center. Or if it is on Puerto Rican pride week, It should be in Vegas.

You act as if no one thinks that... EVERYONE thinks GGG kills Cotto. GGG kills and rapes every single fighter below 160. So just stop acting like that hurts our feelings or is some great epiphany you've discovered.

Canelo is a bum, no way he beats cotto, who has he beat that is a worthy fighter?? Clottey would have beat his ass, I think Kirkland would whip his ass to and if Paul Williams wasn't hurt he would have whipped his ass when he was next to fight canelo
Clottey beat Cotto but he got robbed. I agree with the following statements that Paul Williams would have whooped Canelo, and Kirkland would whoop Canelo too. Clottey would not.

I love Cotto but he gets his ass beat down and stopped.

Yes he does, but from the perspective of Cotto and Canelo it just doesn't make sense to fight him just yet. GGG is still relatively unknown no matter what propaganda HBO tries to spew to make us believe he has some sort of young Mike Tyson buzz going on. He just needs to keep winning and build his brand by demolishing everybody, let Cotto-Canelo fight, then put pressure on the winner.

GGG needs both Canelo and Cotto to really market himself for the future.

Honestly, it's apparent that GGG would beat both Canelo and Cotto so this is why fans rather watch them fight each other (plus it's way more money for both fighters) than either one face off with GGG. I guess, depending on how it plays out, the winner can then fight GGG. It just doesn't really make sense for them to jump right into a potential GGG ass whopping and skip their mega fight.
