I honestly thought after the Marquez fight that he was not human,
It solidified it for me. After such a long break to come back and do what he did was simply out of this world.
How he tactically changed in the Mosley fight was special and let's not forget about the clinic he put on against Canelo Alvarez.
At what point did you guys realise Floyd was an ATG?
ATG in ducking and going on vacations even jail, manipulating his opponents training and fighting conditions, doing PEDS, fighting like a cheat with grabbing and pushing as standard techniques.
ATG in having posters defend him so well that when they can't anymore they put you on their ignore list so you can't post in their thread any more (Larryxxx) lol.
Ped's? Damn you're an idiot, aren't you the guy who claimed Manny was going to stop floyd in 3 rds?
I bet you don't reply because you know I'm right, coward

When he met Antonio Margarito in person and had to change his underpants.
That's when it all became clear for me.
:lol1: :lol1: holding onto Tony's hand like a groupie
Yeah. He retired when Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, Margarito and others were brutalizing each other in the ring while he was sitting pretty on his couch watching the wear and tear these guys were going through. The irony is when he makes a come back we're supposed to honor him with additional greatness for being at a "disadvantage." :boxing:
he had a long layoff, his worshipers brag, and still beat a blown up lightweight. it's as if it's the fans fault that he retired. it's as if his retirement was due to life-threatening injury or something when it's about ducking prime fighters. he was young and healthy when he retired. what a fraud. this is the deserving guy that's supposed to be rewarded with truckloads of money. a fraud.
he gets accolades for retiring and avoiding tough competition. he gets his ppv numbers whenever he comes back. he's the most deserving guy in the sport. let's all bow down to his greatness.

Floyd was out less than 2 yrs. (Two if you count when he stepped in the ring vs marquez or when he signed to fight him) in that span all the fighters you mentioned only fought once or twice. The ONLY one who took major damage was cotto. If one or two fights is a fighters whole prime then its the first time im hearing of it.
Amazing post.
when he defeated oscar for his wbc strap making him the youngest 5 weight world champion in history..he further cemented what i already knerw when he defeated canelo and took his titles and took maidana's title all at the age of 37, when most guys are slowing down..
right now floyd is weasily top 10 and is creeping ito the top 5. if he is able to capture a record 5th lineal title at 160 along with his 6th WBc strap i would move him into the top 5 easily..or if he retires undefeated at 50-0 defeating the likes of:
1. danny garcia
2. miguel cotto
3. amir khan
4. manny pacquaio
If he didn't duck so many guys & actually beat them all, he'd maybe make the top 10. But right now I don't think he'd even make the top 25. He's definitely somewhere in the top 50 though to be fair due to how skillful a fighter he is. But sadly he's insecure about his own abilities.
this.
floyd was an atg at super featherweight, arguably the best ever and without hesitation top 3. when he beat corrales in the fashion he did he put a stamp on it, that was that. atg.
then going through the weight classes beating champion after champion, HOFer after HOFer and usually with ease. idk if he is top 10 but he is easily top 15 imo.
people like to nitpick but you could do that with basically any fighter, they all have something going against them. that doesnt mean the good things never happened, you have to take the good with the bad and judge the fighters career as a whole. doing so there is no doubt mayweather is one of the best who ever did it.

Excellent post.
He is ATG for sure. Top 10? Don't know. He is viewed as the master ducker. And when he does fight he has so many conditions like gloves etc. If he belonged in the era of the 4 horsemen he would have been a nobody as he would have ducked them all.

This is one of the greatest post I've ever read
