The heavyweight division is already probably the worst it's ever been. When Wladimir leaves it'll be that much worse. Will the heavyweight division ever be back?
Deontay Wilder is 29 already! He NEEDS to beat Wlad ASAP if he wants to be the next dominant heavyweight and be respected. Tyson Fury is 26, i'll give him one more year. Joshua is 25, he's got about 2 at which time Wlad will be 41 :lol1:
So would Chuck Wepner. Easily.
You really don't think Tony Tucker would beat the likes of Haye and Byrd? I mean he gave Lennox Lewis himself a very tough fight.
And even if Wilder does KO wlad, how much credit will he get for KO'ing a 39 year old basically in the final part of his career? The next dominant heavyweight at very least has to beat Wlad to gain respect, after that depending on how dominant he is we can start talking about his place in history.
That's outrageous. No they wouldn't. Now if Wilder KO Wlad............Americans will say he's legit and he would be. But if Wlad retires and Wilder KO a bunch of Euro Bums like Pulev and Povetkin, nobody will say he's the next Ali. That's absurd.
I have watched a lot of old Lennox Lewis fights recently. I'm telling you right now. Forget Lennox................I would pick Prime TONY TUCKER to give Pulev/Povetkin/Haye a very good fight. Probably even beat them. And they are Wlad's top wins...............
Think about it. The 6'5 rangy Tony Tucker that Lennox and Tyson beat up on would probably trouble Povetkin and maybe even beat him............That's how bad Wlad's resume is.
Just because you sleep with 100 ugly girls don't make you a stud.
Tony Tucker would have easily beaten every fighter on Wlad's resume.
It's actually good Wlad never fought Lennox in 2000-2003 like Wlad 'claimed' he wanted to.
Wladimir would probably have died literally.
Wladamir was a journeyman in Lewis' era. He was literally being knocked out by other journeyman while Lewis was busy sealing his place in history.
I don't know what will happen, but if no one has beaten Wlad at almost 39 then it would end up being a bigger joke then it is now. Wlad took over HW boxing after Lewis retired at 37 and no one then was able to beat Lewis. I mean had Wlad challenged Lennox when he was king, he would have left in an ambulance at 2 rounds max.

Spot on. If Wladimir retired tomorrow and, somehow, Deontay Wilder picked up a vacant title, Americans would be calling him the greatest HW since Ali, if not the GOAT.

2FAST is too fast.
6'9 with the speed of a featherweight.
I've never seen a big man with that kind of speed.
I can't see anyone beating him, only Wlad is 50/50.
Credit for keeping it up :lol1:

Yep, he's a freak of nature. Look how fast he is compared to big stiff idiots like Ustinov & Wach. Massive engine at well, he doesn't get tired unlike Wlad who has to resort to leaning & clinching his opponents to catch his breath.
Tyson Fury is the future of the HW division after Wlad retires. He will probably end up fighting Joshua for a vacant belt, and after boxing him senseless, he'll move on to Joseph Parker and spark him cold.
The future is bright, the future is FURY!

H2H Wilder actually IS greater than anything pre 80's in the sense that he'd basically knock every single one of them out in the first round.
But you are right, the moment an American wins the title, it's a strong era again. Pathetic!
An entire mythology created by a nation so licked by global boxers that it just couldn't face it. Even to the point of rubbishing there own boxers as no good until they are top again.
It's the AMERICAN way! :lol1:

The heavyweight division is bad though.
You have a 40+ whatever journeyman type fighter in Tony Thompson included in the top 10.
A stiff like Pulev is considered one of the best. Don't insult us please. There's not 3 top heavyweights who can go 12 rounds comfortably today and there's certainly no one other than Wlad with any skills worth taking note off. As in the grand scheme of heavyweight history.
Every single one of th me turds from #2- infinite wouldn't be as much as a wank stain in the 90s.
Did you mean to quote me? :lol1: You didn't address any of the points I made.

You don't actually believe this, right? You're saying this just to piss people off?
