Who should be the favorite. Canelo or cotto?

I think cotto is a much better boxer than canelo. As long he keeps his distance he should be fine. I think canelos power is overrated but it's still good enough to hurt a fragile cotto.

Canelo..... a year ago most people would say Canelo whoops Cotto but because of his wins over the mighty Delvin and Martinez it's near 50/50 on who wins but a fighter don't just get better at 33. Cotto is the same Cotto that lost to Trout, timing is everything and that's why he rejected Canelo to fight crippled Martinez for less money. Yeah, because a fourth tittle in a different weight division means nothing! Common now.

Canelo because Cotto hasnt had a legit win since what clottley? jennings? Canelo has never had a legit win. Should be 1-3 in last four fights. :D

I'd lean towards Canelo. But Cotto would be in the hunt given Nelo's difficulty in cutting off the ring and Cotto's reasonable ability to box off the back foot. If Cotto tried to fight as he has post-Trout he'd be in trouble. Canelo would remind him of what weight-class he's in.

This seems like a passing of the torch fight. Canelo just has youth on his side. Prime for prime, id pick Cotto 11x out of 10

I think canelo should be around a 2-1 favorite, maybe slightly higher but the fight is really a pick em fight.

Cotto, he's faced the better opposition in their careers. Did better against mayw. Has been around longer. And is the Mw champ.
