Off the top of my head Margarito, williams and Hearns were massive at welterweight. In the lower weights donaire and frampton look pretty big. Duran was even quite big for a lightweight.
Unintended consequences. At the time the risk of brain damage due to dehydration was the priority.
weigh-ins are held on friday to maximize vegas revenues.
Algieiri, I dont like the match for Manny at all.......I secretly hope Manny pulls out, I'd give him a complete pass......
LMAO......hmmm....well....look how that turned out big bruh
Not boxing related but MMA fighters be weighing atleast 15-20 pounds more the next day. Some go up 30 pounds. Hendricks weighed 200 the night of the fight after weighing 170 the previous day.
donaire at featherweight - hydrates close to 152 on fight night
saldio at super featherweight - hydrates to at least around 155-160 on fight night
canelo at jr middleweight - hydrates close to 180 on fight night
rios at lightweight - he was pretty much a junior middleweight-middleweight fighting at 135
mikey garcia at 126 and 130 - he looks like a junior middleweight on fight night
chavez jr at any weight - he always rehydrates at least 30-40 lbs on fight night no matter what weight
leo santa cruz at 118 and 122 - he is at least 5'9" and rehydrates about 25-30lbs on fight night
lol you're joke, did you pull it out that numbers from your ass?
]that's a lie from HBO. donaire is easily around 152lbs on fight night. also salido was definitely a jr middleweight in his last fight. I mean if he came in at 147 at 126 then it shouldn't be surprising at all that he came in above 150lbs in his last fight.
all those guys i listed easily rehydrate around 150lbs on fight night. they are all overrated. if it wasn't for their HUGE size advantage they'd be mediocre fighters.
And you know it's a lie based on what?
Your expertise?
GTFOH

Lol at donaire going up to 152 bull sh1t lol. I think he as like the 130s when hydrated on fight day.
Salido was in the 140s still heavy but he wasn't 150s maybe he walks around at that weight.

I'm not sure salido is above 150 but I don't know about Santa Cruz. I thought he was around 5'7. Does he really hydrate to like 140 ish?
Ike Quartey, Vernon Forrest, Corrales. I lot of fighters that when young can drain themselves to make weight safely. As they age that ability is diminished
there are too many fighters way too big for their own weight class to name.
But I say who cares. If they can make the weight let them fight in what ever division they want. In fact squeezing down to a weight you don't belong in hurts you way more. You're trainings are more about weight cutting than actual boxing. Mayweather Sr. Used to say this about Hatton. He would spend too much time focused on the weight and not the boxing.
Currently?
Brandon rios fought at 135 and walks around at 180
Chris Algieri is 6 foot and walks around at 170 fights at 140
Julio Cesar Chavez jr is 6 foot 2 fights at 160's and walks around as high as 230
Canelo is short and stocky and cuts a lot of weight, he look dead at the Floyd weigh in.
