Andrade's next fight will be on Showitme and reportedly against one of the Charlo twins. Undetermined if it'll be for multiple fights, and even tough HBO has the rights to broadcast his next fight they don't seem to mind the move.
Why would a Charlo try to get it in with this lion? Bad career decision. But when you are young and undefeated you don't think anyone can take you. Andrade is a totally different type of animal though.
It probably fits Andrade better to go to showtime since he decided to stick to Jr Middle. HBO would not have too many opponent options available. HBO would only be able to match him up with Middleweights.
He should do well at Showtime. I like the way Booboo fights. You got the Charlo's, a possible rematch with Vanes down the road. You got Thurman and a batch of other welters who may eventually move up.
why would he duck alvared? canela only looks good against brawlers. mayweather, trout, and lara had the guy frustrated and swinging wild like a amateur. andrade's style beats alvared.
He was being sarcastic
Uzecategui was ranked in top 10 at SMW by the WBO before he fought Korobov, then when they fought it was a eliminator for the 160 title. The WBO and other orgs routinely slide guys ranked in different weight classes into the rankings of another weight class for title fights.
I just don't think Haymon risks the Charlo with the greater upside until both Jermell & Demetrius have more momentum behind them and make for a bigger fight. Jermall might already be close to his peak, give him a chance to pull the upset & win a title while cashing out his '0'.
You think they're gonna give Jermell the Molina/K9 winner? He's #2 at IBF also and Jermall is #6.

Jermall is not ranked by WBO at 154 he is at 160 though at #3. Jermell is ranked #2 WBO.

It makes sense both for Andrade & for HBO that they part ways. There was no options at 154 for Andrade at HBO. He wasn't going to get the Alvarez fight, nor Kirkland. All the top fighters at 154 are with Haymon. So unless Andrade was willing to step up to 160, for which he wanted unrealistic money, no point. Good move by both sides. Maybe Andrade builds some legacy for himself with Haymon (assuming he finally signs with Haymon).
I'm thinking it'll be Jermall. He's less talented and more expendable. Jermell can fight for the IBF, and Haymon can have a tourney with Lara, Andrade, Trout, & Jermell. Then there's Julius Williams, Dominic Wade, Tony Harrison, Terrell Gausha, Willie Monroe, John Jackson, and Willie Nelson all in the Haymon house. Andrade also will have to make a mando sometime against Baysongurov.

Khan-Guerrero and Andrade-Charlo on the Dec. 6th Showtime card? Yes please
Put it at the StubHub! Center and that's a hell of a show to put on. I'd be all for it.
Maybe this means Showtime will start working with DiBella Entertainment, Goossen Promotions, Star Boxing, Banner Promotions, Warriors Boxing, Don King Productions & Mayweather Promotions since Haymon Boxing is moving to NBC Sports and Golden Boy is back with HBO. Showtime needs to focus on good up-and-coming fighters like they use to before they brought in Floyd, Haymon & Golden Boy into the fold.

I think the problem most reasonable people have is turning down a title fight at 160 to fight a Charlo at 154. Especially when Andrade says he turned it down because he wasn't going to get the same ridiculous money Quillin would have, after asking for the fight.
Seems a backwards step without further details.
i wasnt referring to that as much as the canelo comments. i get the annoyance with that.
Yea I think that's the main reason. Just like how ruslan is fighting a bum in Russia. I'm sure arum will work with them again when it benefits him
You can look it up, Arum wasn't happy about how that situation happened and I think he even said he would never work with the guy that did it. I guess they had an agreement in place
I don't think hbo cared for andrade.
He's completely delusional about his worth and what he can and cannot demand. I'll enjoy watching him fight a Charlo though, if it actually happens.
So Andrade called out Canelo when he was with Showtime, Canelo moves to Andrade's network (HBO), then Andrade moves to Showtime,.
Wow, this either makes sense or doesn't. He calls out Canelo, then make a move that will make it impossible to make the fight happen. :pat:
young fighter actually trying to fight great fights without waiting for one guy gets criticized for not waiting for a guy who clearly wasnt gonna fight him anytime soon. typical nsb bull****. the retardation level on here is beyond what it was in the past.

This was a financial move more than anything. He's trying to get paid like anyone else and showtime was willing to pay more for his fight. He's still young and inexperienced with a lot more to prove before he gets "big" fights.
