against floyd he gotta just throw, push, rough him up.
use his size.
he tried to box floyd.
tua >>> chepo
i don't know what canelo's corner thinking. outbox mayweather? GTFOH!
ortiz gave pbf rougher rounds than canelo.. that says a lot..
Floyd is better and was better at that time, but now Canelo is older (in a good way) and more experienced, tougher and stronger and a better fighter.
Floyd is older (in a bad way), slower and not as tough. I think Canelo could really put up a much better fight if they had a rematch.

floyd beat him because floyd is just better.

Maidana, although tough: gets hurt pretty bad in almost every fight he's in.
Did he look like he was hurt at all in his most recent fight, against Floyd?
Wait so Getting Hurt, Recovering and finding a way to win doesn't make you "THOUGH" WTF are some of you talking about
Maidana is tough as is Bradley and Alexander
Also Froch of course WTF are you guys going to say "HE IS NOT TOUGH BECAUSE GROVES DROPPED HIM" :nonono:
John Molina Jr. Been Dropped and Stopped but that kid is TOUGH AND RELENTLESS!
Danny Garcia is extremely tough with a excellent chin, still don't know how this shot did not Stop Or Drop Him:

not a lot mentioning pac because jmm khtfo.
but remember aside from jmm few have hurt pac at 147.
remember when he walked thru cottos punches?
went toe to toe with a huge marg at 150?
Man, you're talking about Pac's steroid years. They don't count.
Great post man :fing02:
I still don't know who Guzman is BTW
i think there was a female fighter named JOAN GUZMAN.
i think she was haitian.
not sure. i don't follow womens boxing.
Im sorry but to say mayweather is a top 5 toughest fighter is ridiculous. Id say he is probably one of the best defensive fighters ever if not the greatest. Id say he is a top 5 most determined fighter p4p but not top 5 toughest. Ok in my list I actually got Bradley number one, then marquez, pacquiao, maidana and lastly believe it or no Broner. Id say malignaggi gets an honorable mention. I know everyone is saying alexander but the guy just holds after getting hurt. I love how broner fought in the later rounds against maidana. Provodnikov really deserves mention but hey also the guy he just fought algieri dude had eye swollen and fought like 10 more rounds that way and won.
How is it ridiculous? He's in his 17th, 18th year of professional prize fighting, rarely have you seen him in trouble and when so, he recovers well. Heck, he hasn't even suffered a legit knockdown.
C'mon man,
canelo looked fine to me too.
floyd beat him because floyd is just better.
same thing with gloves thing with maidana-floyd/pac-morales.
do gloves/catchweight make a little difference? sure. a little.
so do other things like ring size/judges/referee/etc.
end of the day the fighters have to fight. and 90-95% of the deciding factor will be because of fighters skill/gameplan/style.
ppl and their catchweight complaints.
boxers can cut 10-15 lbs and rehydrate safely. it's normal.
IF YOU FIGHT AT 147 AND CAN'T FIGHT AT 145... YOU WERE TOO DAMN BIG TO BE FIGHTING AT 147 ANYWAY.

floyd, marquez and froch
pacquiao is not even top ten......this is a guy who's been ktfo three times already. all of the guys i've mentioned have faced the hardest punchers and still haven't been ko'ed
getting koed doesn't mean you're not tough.
Canelo was 153 in his fight before Floyd though. Was he weight drained?

nope.
because cotto and marg looked in good shape.
looked strong too until they got beaten.
plus i'm not an emo floyd fan.
145 for cotto who was 146 his previous fight? 150 for marg who is career 147? no damn difference.
ppl act like this was roy jones going from 200 to 175 or something.
laughable.

Bradley is likely top 5 but I don't feel like noting it, he strays away from the game plan when he gets touched up. I've seen Alexander's spirit get broken against Bradley and Matthysse somewhat. Even Margarito who is notable for his toughness got his spirit broken against Mosley (Resorting to arm punches) and Paul Williams (Managed to regroup in the late rounds). Rios was also discouraged against Pacquiao and Abril, the kind of discouragement that prohibited him from going harder.
None of what I said happens to Mayweather, Marquez or Pacquiao. Just think about that for a moment. Being able to take it while not maintaining the mental capacity to either stick to the game plan or finding an adjustment isn't the kind of toughness worth noting.
