Mayweather detractors, if mayweather took down GGG would you give him full credit? I remember discussing this Larry XXX and pacboy a while ago and thought i would raise this question to the rest of you guys. Could mayweather beat him and if so will you give full credit? Duran was 37 when he took down barkley.
Man that would be quite a feat if Floyd pulled it off. But, as much as I'm a fan of him, he can't beat GGG. If GGG moves down to say 154, he'll be drained, immediately taking any credit away. Only way Floyd would get full credit is by moving up to middleweight and beating him, but he can't. GGG is too big, too strong, and his body punching will wreck Floyd's tiny frame. And I'd wager if he did fight GGG and somehow, miraculously managed to beat him, you know what people would still say? "Well, who did GGG beat? He's a bum. And Floyd still ducked Pac." Lose-lose situation.
Cotto is more proven and has proven himself against better competition over several weight classes...sorry GGG's best win is Daniel Geale
Come on bro, U have watch enough of GGG to know he is a beast. I dont think Floyd would finish that fight on his feet.
Fight nots going to happen and shouldnt. GGG is a legit Middle weight, with devastating power. Also great at cutting of the ring.
If he was Floyd size that would be a good one.
Mayweather says middleweight is too big. You can't expect him to accept the kind of challenges that De La Hoya and Duran did. He is not that kind of champion.

Mayweather has Madaina problems how would he beat GGG if that happen the sky would fall

The first thing came in my mind. "Health comes first." Fight not happening.
He'd get huge credit for making the fight but shouldn't be asked to. GGG is too big and skilled. Floyd gets KO'd in 2 or less. Health comes first, which means no GGG fight.
people will say that GGG got old! and that the ref was on Mayweather's side. Mayweather can go up and beat a heavyweight and people will still find some dumb negative thing to say.
therefore he doesn't even do it and just fights mediocre fighters like maidana. nothing negative to say about fighting mediocre fighters.

I'm a Mayweather fan and I would not care. GGG hasn't done anything to get my hyped over some one beating him. He's too big anyway. Mayweather weighing in at 150lbs 5' 8" vs Golovkin at 5' 10" 170lbs, is just too much for a small guy. People would mention Floyd's wins at JMW against DLH, Cotto and Canelo, but fighting at 150lbs in a JMW fight does not make Floyd a legit JMW. Just like Cotto coming in at 155lbs vs Martinez, he's not a legit MW despite beating an old Ring champ coming off of surgery.
Martinez was more proven at 160, yet Mayweather never entertained a fight with him when called out at 154, much less at 160.
how can you be the best if you don't fight the best? martinez didn't want to fight ggg, cotto doesn't want to fight ggg, they lose their legitimacy when there is a clear #1 guy out there and they don't fight him. you can't just hang on to a "i'm the best title" forever. you have to continually prove you're the best like in any other sport. do the world series champs say i'm the best, baseball is over, i'm only going to play little league teams now? pretty sure there is still a season next year except in boxing there is a season yet the lineal champs like martinez and cotto aren't playing in it. therefore they aren't champs anymore. in your world cotto could fight bums for ten years and still be the champ.
+1 They droppin that ism larryxxx, what you got to say about that....
Floyd could still reduce his ducking reputation by about 50% if he were to fight Pacquiao and GGG at 154. If he does this he will not go down as one of the greatest duckers of all time; rather he will be thought of as someone who may have ducked a little more than usual but faced real threats on occassion.
Cotto is regarded as the best because he beat Martinez, who beat Pavlik, who beat Taylor, who beat Hopkins who reformed the lineage by gaining every title...WHO DID GGG DEFEAT?

Cotto's best wins at 154 & 160:
1. Shot to sh*t Sergio Martinez
2. Shot to sh*t Antonio Margarito
3. Delvin Rodriguez
And unlike GGG, Cotto can fight who he likes.
Cotto is regarded as the best middleweight in the world by his own fans, and the handful of Floyd fanboys who think Floyd might be able to call himself the middleweight champion and have people take it seriously.
Floyd or Manny being the middleweight 'champion' is a sick joke. Christ, even the Pacquiao fanboys have the decency to not take this idea seriously.

They have to fight for us to find out..GGG has not beaten anyone even close to A class
Larryxxx come on man.........you can't be serious
Larry tell me honestly: who wins Cotto or Golovkin? What would be tougher for old fragile Floyd?

Disregard titles, hypothetically if Floyd were to face either GGG or Cotto who do you see as the tougher fight?
