Why doesn't canelo want to fight andrade?

Dear Yemba-Mamba-Wasabanga: the answer to your question is similar to the answer to the question "why Floyd doesn't fight Manny?".

Why doesn't the wondrous Lara fight Andrade? Why is he talking about Ishe Smith? I think that fight makes a lot of sense. I personally think much more highly of Andrade than I do of Lara and the Andrade - Canelo fight will happen in the near future if both continue to win. But let Andrade build his brand a bit. Then the Canelo fight will be big. A great way to do that would be to defeat Lara. I don't think it is wrong for Canelo to take a stay active fight with Clottey in the interim. He's gone into the pressure cooker successively for three fights. He wants to give boxing fans what they want, but he is human also. Running, looking scared and popping Canelo on his gloves didn't convince me Lara won, but the diehard Lara fan will always love that performance and you can bask in the glow.

Canelo can never win with people. I don't like the dude but he fights people who he's allegedly "ducking" and people still claim he's ducking others. Grow up. If you don't like him, at least say it. He just fought Lara. Obviously Cotto vs Canelo is the plan. Neither dude is about to ruin that by taking a big risk and Andrade is high risk low reward right now. I do think Canelo will fight Andrade sometime after, provided Andrade keeps winning. He's been fighting great top fighters, but why take a step back when you can fight a fellow champ who is actively screaming for a fight? Whether you like it or not, Andrade's profile is so low that when he screams nobody hears or cares. The cold fact is that there is no demand for this fight. Much less than for Trout or Lara actually. Why would Alvarez risk a huge payday against Cotto to fight a difficult opponent? Cotto is taking even a safer route.
