i'll rock a floyd avvy as a sign of respect, the same way i did for pacquiao. floyd is a great, great fighter. it would be a shame to see him go out, but this is boxing, and the best man wins in the manner that his skill and talent dictates.

Were you old enough to witness Tyson-Douglas? That news hit like an earthquake. It was totally unexpected. The fact that this is a rematch against a known puncher, Floyd's career is winding down, etc. lessens the impact in my opinion. It would still be a distant number two though. I'm definitely old enough. I watched the fight when it happened. Of course the world thought Tyson was invincible at the time and I'd dare say Floyd has the same kinda aura about him. No one thinks he can lose. Every prediction is pro-Floyd with Maidana only having a puncher's chance. I think in this digital age of memes and gifs, a Floyd KO would resonate for a lonnnng time. People moved on after the Tyson KO and even gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was distracted, etc. I doubt people do the same with Floyd. They'll NEVER let him live it down.
