This is something that intrigues me. Why is he so powerful if he is just an advisor?
I mean an advisor is just that an advisor, he gives you advises. So how in the hell he holds power over fighters. How as an advisor he sign fighters. Is suppose to be fighters signing an advisor not the other way around.
His just figured out how the business and contracts work and decided go into business. The Mayweather breakaway from TR helped him infiltrate the business but follow the flies and eventually you'll find the zhit. His contracts are a mere copy of a promotional contract with extensions so at any time he can say oh were gonna make peanuts unless you do what he tells who and your stuck with him as a manager or advisor who you gave him authority to negotiate for you. So now we have another Don King.
You know I'm just fn with you. I respect the people on here who are bigger fans of non-boxers.
Max K > Haymon doe.

advisor is his title. he's really a manager, but he acts / operates like a promotor.
the reason he is so powerful is simple:
floyd mayweather, and many other top fighters, do what he tells them to do.
by doing what he says, he gets them on TV and for great money. the opponents are often pushovers.
haymon has a ton of leverage because of his involvement with so many different top fighters. when HBO started to get wise, he went to showtime, and took virtually all of his fighters with him.
Because he's a brilliant businessman. Big Dunn is his fluffer.
Lies doubling as personal attacks are very rude and are not condoned on NSB. Just because you are no longer allowed on Team ATG snake there is no need to make false accusations about me.
Haymon has connections and people pay for other people connections all the time. Usually it is through a manager, or an agent, or a lawyer maybe but it can also come from an adviser which is kind of a catch all role in any form of business.
Plus as it sits now with his place with the biggest star in the sport people will take Haymon's phone calls (remember it was not until Floyd walked and there was no chance for years of getting him back that HBO flipped out on Haymon, none of the other stuff counted for much while Floyd was around).
@letsargueboxing Quillin can***39;t, in Haymon***39;s contracts he has to agree to and sign off on every fight. #boxing— Rick Glaser (@RickGlaser1) September 3, 2014
Idk if it's true but make sense.
because he has expertly navigated he gray areas of the rules delineating adviser, manager and promoter and is aligned with Floyd who makes everyone a lot of money when he fights.
