The purse disparity in these fights is as apalling as the talent disparity in said fights. There's nothing wrong with promoters/networks going into showcase mode after having a couple years where the top fighters had been fight one another, in order to rebuild potential excitement for fights between certain fighters, but the purses need to reflect the product being sold here. If networks/sponsors are paying top dollar for sh*t fights like this - #1- They're not going to be buying much longer. #2- Fighters will expect even more money when they have to get in a serious fight.

I would guess the take home is: $400k - Broner $150k - Berto $130k - Matthysse $50k - Ortiz $20k - Upsher Why Broner took home only around $400k. After taxes he has about $580k, after paying Haymon and GBP their cut I would think he has around $400k. Same follows for all other fighters with their respective taxes and promotional/managerial fees. Lol not so much now, still wealthy checks for Broner, Berto, Matthysse, but people like to cause a ruckus without taking a fighter's take home pay into consideration.
