Maybe Floyd just wants to cut Oscar completely out of the deal, even if that means he has to work with Arum to get it done. It'd probably be a co-production between the networks like Lewis vs. Tyson. Right now, who does Floyd really have to choose from if Amir Khan takes the fight with Kell Brook, Canelo fights Cotto and Pacquiao takes a fight with Marquez for a 5th time. He'd be stuck between the choice of Danny Garcia or Keith Thurman most likely.
It's funny how these 'negotiations' always seem to happen close to them both fighting other opponents. Using each other to sell their own crappy fights. #yawn
This this this
This is a great topic! I wish this thread would be stickied!
Oh wait! There already is a sticky thread on this subject. :smashfrea

Actually now I would say yes that info is correct, they are both at the end of their long hall of fame careers and there is no one left to generate big money on PPV and Floyd himself said there is something big planed for May
So all the signs indicate that yes it will happen, and anybody under the impression that anyone of these two fighters is "afraid" of the other needs to grow up.
They both split the broadcast ppv rights. Just like tyson/lewis
Would be nostalgic to see JLJ and buffer in the same ring again
Will be a huge event. Expect all time high ppv cost
But who is going to air it? HBO has been craving this fight for 5 years now... 24/7 would be the perfect show to hype this up.. But showtime has Floyd locked and I don't see them splitting the money and letting HBO broadcast it.
I think it's actually coming together now. Stephen a Smith was on siriusxm saying that this fight was finally going to happen next year. I just don't know how HBO and showtime will work this out.

if i had the ability to be a boxer i'd honestly reconsider just because i might have to end up answering dumb questions from sports journalists.
even if you made millions?

I nearly spilt my coffee everywhere when that stupid guy said Algeiri was a young Oscar , a young Oscar would blast Algeiri into next week it would not go 3 rounds .
'Negotiations' have been going on for 5 years already.
They will become 'serious' only when Pac and May is in the same ring at the same time with their gloves on :)
