It does me no favors to be proven right, I actually wanted to be proven wrong, but this is the ugly side of boxing. I can't wait til mayweather retires, I will never mention him in the same sentence of the all time greats. Back in the day the best fought the best non stop, win, lose or die. Mayweather fights twice a year at most, never leaves Vegas, his home, chooses the gloves, the ref, the judges and other stuff we buy in to. Bad champion, not a people person, a money person. Slow fighters/big punchers/flat footed opponents were never a threat to Mayweather, I'd love to see Mayweather fighting someone with speed or who can box like Amir Khan,Bradley,Thurman,Pacman. I think any of these 4 can beat Floyd IMO.

Why boycott? Kenny Bayless - They got Kenny Bayless as the ref, just to be sure that Maidana will be thinking more about not getting DQ than fighting his fight. Some Floyd fans have said that Bayless only warns but never deducts points. Well, Maidana was deducted 2 points in his fight against Karass and guess who was the ref? Dave Moretti - Yes, he judged the first one and yes he is now going to judge the second one and yes he had FLoyd winning comfortably in the first one. Moretti gave Floyd the rounds where Maidana did his best work! Think about it. Maidana could have reproduced what he did in the first 6 rounds and still would have lost 8-4, according to Moretti! How can you make him be a judge when he didn't even consider the first one close? So Floyd just has to convince 1 of 2 remaining judges! Punchers Gloves - According to Floyd himself, Maidana's record is due to Maidana being allowed to fight with his preferred punchers gloves. So what does Floyd do? Floyd intentionally removes the KO artist's, Maidana's, most important equipment from the equation so there is less "risk" of losing the fight.
