Tyson Fury is a "respectable" boxer, not by me but by some. The guy hits himself in his own combinations. He got dropped by a damn cruiser weight.
Holyfield was a cruiser weight and was a multi time champ at HW so what's your fawking point?
Stop downing yourself and acting like the jump from amateur to pro is a huge gap.
Remember Birtha or whatever that guys name is that fought Wilder? You could easily knock his ass out and I'm not even sure if you're a HW.
well i said "respectable" boxer..anyone can get a pro license
That's what I think too.
I can scrap no doubt but I think in a boxing match even billy Dib beats my ass
I talk a lot of sh1t out of entertainment..and even had 35 Amateur fights..but i aint beating a decent pro fighter
I'm a smaller guy 5'6" walk around at high 150's-low 160's max and trust me....size is the most overrated attribute in a street fight.
9/10 skill trumps size, especially when they have no stamina.
Almost every fight I have been in my lifetime, whether in the ring or in the street, I was outweighed by at least 30 pounds.
When I first started sparring when I regularly trained in knuckle up fitness in Atlanta ga, my trainer would let walk-in tough guys spar smaller guys and get their asses handed to them.
I was 147 and sparred guys 170+ and usually got the better of it. Also in street fights, bigger guys usually gas fast or quit after you clock them good 3 times, smaller guys will fight like you stole the last pork chop.
I'm the smallest out of all my friends and one of my closest friends disrespected my little brother. I have trained in boxing before, he hasn't but he is a decent fighter, we have fought together against others. Needless to say, I was 150 lbs. and he is 230 lbs. and I kicked his ass and the only time he got a hit in was when he stole on me in the beginning.
Any boxer with size on them will tell you..the worse type of boxer to fight is a smaller one..because they are faster more agile and hard to catch....
As much as ya'll laugh at Salka he would do the same to 90 percent of posters on here
That's what I think too.

Thats why I stated that it didnt make it fact.
Of course, I am not saying you did say it was a fact.
I was just pointing out that Emmanuel got carried away sometimes
Yes well Emmanuel Steward also said that the rapper Eminem would be the middleweight champion of the world if he was not a rapper.
And Emmanuel gathered all of this important information from getting PAID to hold the focus mitts for Eminem
Thats why I stated that it didnt make it fact.
Emmanuel Steward stated 50 Cent was a NY Golden Gloves champion. Not that that makes it unquestionable but he did have quite a bit of knowledge on the amateur scene.

That's because he never won and I believe Emmanuel said he heard that 50 was a golden gloves champ. Either way I'm from NY and I know for a fact he never won the gloves. This exact conversation was brought up a long time ago a Gleason's. Everybody was laughin. The coaches the fighters, everyone. If I remember correctly Hector Roca said that he saw him compete in the ams but never won a tourney. So this is a sick lie that I don't know how it keeps spreading. But no....50 never won the gloves or any NY tounement for that matter. Maybe a couple of show fights perhaps. Thank you...........
Did you actually watch the video or just have your mind set on a useless joke? It wasn't Roy Jones in the ring.
I'm glad you caught that. I was wondering what drug he was on.
ok...but where is the proof??? there should be documented proof of a golden glove champion..it just is not true....there is a full lise of EVERY Golden glove champion in history..you simply can not make this up

what proof do you have of him competing in the jr Olympics??? that should be well documented man...... it doesnt take much to hit a damn speed bag.....he followed Floyd long enough
Lol he cant even manage that.
That guy clearly had no fighting experience let alone boxing experience!
I'll be the first to say it's hard getting in the ring with a Pro, i've gone in with amateurs and they are;
A. Incredibly fit
B. Good
C. Better than 99% of wannabe fighters
I'd class myself as a wannabe fighter because I'm no great boxer, I rely on my poor stamina which is good for no more than 3 rounds.
I could never cut it as a Pro, I just don't have the skill, the determination or the discipline for it. I had hurt and even had people stopped in sparring sessions but thats purely because although I am crap I have been told I can hit like Le'Mule! lol.
Take it from me, unless you've got proper experience in the ring, DONT step in there, you will only get embarrassed.
This thread title reminded me of this video. Ive seen this happen quite a few times. Bottom line is, guys shouldn't be sparring with someone out of their league, its the coaches fault. Forward to 2.33. Vanes puts it on this dude:
