Looks like the front runner to face Alvarez is still Kirkland, but they have added Andrade and Clottey to their list of possible opponents. They should be making the announcement the first weeks of September with he fight taking place in December.
Who's the best opponent in your opinion?
Kneeguel Cotto no fight Kirkland. Kneeguel lose Canelo fight because Trout too dengerous. Kneeguel fight tune up, and then Canelo in May.
You got Cotto's d1ck and balls down your throat bro
Quit tooting your own horn, it's obviously between Kirkland and Clottey. The odds are 50% you get it right.
It's not going to be Kirland son, i can garuantee you that.
This me right here once again speaking some real sht :boxing:

Here is some advice for you emotional guys, go with the shttiest opponent so you don't end up dissapointed when Canelo doesn't fight who you wanted to.
And indeed, i think they are going to pick the shttiest opponent. Clottey. He stays there to be hit and doesn't pack a hard punch. Canelo needs to look good after that boring performance with Lara. Andrade moves too much, he is not going to get picked. Kirkland packs a serious punch, i could see him fighting Canelo in the future but not right now.

Never said he should avoid Kirkland, said that's the fight I would like to see but he deserves a tune up fight before Cotto. The Kirkland fight is the best but also the most dangerous, I think the Andrade fight would be competitive but not very exciting. If it were up to me it would be Kirkland but if he took a stay busy fight, i wouldn't fault him.
Ok, right.
I was basically asking why you think Canelo deserves a tune up before Cotto in my first reply...
... He should avoid a southpaw boxer, fight an engaging fighter, but avoid Kirkland and take a tune up? Lol that's basically what you said but I follow.
I think Kirkland is the best opponent for Canelo out of the three at this point.

3 out of the last 4 fighters were slick boxers, he should take on a fighter to produce a good fight so the hype can carry over to the Cotto fight. No need to take on another fighter who isn't going to engage and stink the place out. Basically he should stay away from a southpaw boxer.

Probably not. Those tickets will go fast. But if I'm able to I'll contact you.
Yeah they are going fast, low price is like $35 not too much.
Should be a fun card.
No way is Alvarez going to risk losing a Cotto payday by fighting Andrade. Bad style for him. Kirkland brings some risk, but its the easiest of those to sell on PPV.
My man Scotty J.
You going to the GGG fight?
What is the point of a tune up for Canelo? I don't think his two fights this year were particularly taxing and honestly all this talk about tuneups is getting tired. Canelo's in the big leagues now. He should fight as many top fighters as possible.

Would love to see him fight Kirkland but he deserves an easy fight before Cotto, wouldn't mind if he took a tune up fight.

Canelo beats them all, but I think Kirkland is the riskiest and would be the most fun.
this right here^^^ after the boring fest with lara he really needs to fight kirkland....
