If memory serves me correctly, this has happened to Matts before. His fight with Ajose was a co-feature, but became the main event because the other fight fell apart due to injury. I'm glad to see that all this friendliness between Broner/Pete won't be getting in the way of them fighting...assuming this is true of course.

This should be a fun fight to watch

Maybe the Taylor fight wasn't a hot ticket but I'm sure there was more to it Personally, I had little interest in being forced to like that Garcia-Peterson fight. I felt Peterson was not legitimately relevant. Obviously Salka wasn't either - but that wasn't going to be sold as some sort of legit unification. A unifcation with someone who shouldn't even really be champion. Peterson should have been stripped after Khan, and then took a legit L against Matthysse, who opted to make it a non-title affair as to preserve the fight with Garcia. Not only that, but most interviews indicated that the Garcia-Peterson could very well have happened at a CW. **** that fight. This is much better, Broner and Peterson are on equal footing in their current state. Damn right, I couldn't care less about a garcia-Peterson match up. But this is a very good one. Props to Broner for taking this. It's a good step up
