While it certainly does not completely replicate the real thing, anyone who has trained with the mask can tell you that it makes a difference with your training.
It's kind of like training with a weight vest or sauna suit. It wears you down pretty hard while you have it, but you feel a huge difference once you take it off.

Placebo can be a great drug. I think it mainly gives a mental effect, causing fighter(s) to train harder. Although I'm sure it does alter your fatigue/normal breathing pattern while train.
No way it truly replicates the science of being at high elevation.
I don't know where to find a good single big picture of it. But it does make fighters look badass when they train :lol1:
