This means that Chris Avalos finally gets his mandatory from Top Rank, who has been stalling on this bout purposely it seemed. So they cut a deal by Labor Day or he loses his mandatory #1 spot I believe?? This bodes well for Rigo because he needs to get back into the ring ASAP and with Top Rank one would think that Gary Hyde can come to some agreement in short order despite their previous differences. Do a one fight deal with Top Rank yourself or sign with someone else real quick like Golden Boy or TMT and have it go to purse bids???

How much did they spend on Klitchko's title defense in Moscow?? That was a Word Title bout and they had to send a crew overseas too. They definitely have the money but are they willing to spend it (Disney)?? I was hoping that they had adopted anew approach to air bigger boxing bouts on occasion. So far they have aired two World Heavyweight Bouts and maybe they can be an option for Top Rank and Caribbe Promotions in this regard? I am just happy that rigo should be facing Avalos in the Fall regardless of who airs it; could be CBS for all I know.

I fixed the hyperlink. I just want him to get some good TV exposure . . . why couldn't Friday Night Fights do it as they are in season and have ESPN air it in November for the season finale? If he signs with Golden Boy ASAP then the fight will most certainly go to purse bids. Well, the minimum for a title purse bid is what... 100-200k? I forgot the number, but it's 6 digits...Espn don't have that much money.

No, it means that he has to get a fight signed in 30 days. It doesn't mean he has to fight in 30 days. He could still unify within that time frame, but doesn't look like anybody wants to man up. I think after the thirty day period passes, they have to fight them when purse bids are ordered
