This doesn't have anything to do with Golden Boy. Both Bey and Vazquez are Haymon's fighter so he put them there.

We knew the deal when haymon signed bey i was only concerned with the negative effect it was going to have on my undercards. f#cking micky bey against miguel vasquez. i'd love to see john molina beat him up again.

This fight would have never even been considered for a co-main position if Richard Schaefer was still there. We all had our reasons for not trusting or liking that guy, but you can't deny that the matchups have fallen off HARD since he left. I don't think we fans can trust De La Hoya or Eric Gomez to make fights that are in the fans' best interests. They're every bit as corrupt as Schaefer; don't honestly believe anything Oscar says. I actually like this fight, but certainly not as a co-main. You need a name for that slot. Don't sink to Top Rank's level and screw over the die-hard fans who actually care about the undercard. We'll probably get J'Leon Love vs. someone we don't know, Leo Santa Cruz vs. someone we don't know, and then this fight. Not awful, but not what we expect out of a Mayweather card. :(

I genuinely like the Mayweather/Maidana rematch and want to see it. But if this is the co-main, I don't want to know what the rest of the card is.

Schaefer is gone so the match making is sh1t and Cards are NOT getting as stacked as they use to That being said, I don't think this is a bad match up at all but not Co-Mainevent Worthy, Bey has the athleticism to keep up with Vazquez footwork at least try to push the action to Vazquez. Yes most fights are boring when one guys is just far more talented than the other guy and he is able to do what he wants while his opponent has NO Answer and CAN'T CUT THE RING OFF! I am a Vazquez fan so I am all for him getting more EXPOSURE! This should be ONE OF the fights on the Undercard but not Co-Mainevent!

It's so strange, the first PPV allegedly flopped. You would think they would put on a stronger undercard and not the usual TMT-fighters. Bey-Vasquez is a decent fight but if they want to crack 1 million they better have something juicier.
