He was off balance. He ate all of Kovalev's flush punches at 50-years old. Like nothing.
Kovalev on the other hand was rocked several times by a washed up Hopkins.
he never hurt hopkins, and when everybody thought he was hurt (in the 12º) it was due to his legs being tangled with b-hop's legs.

Got his shoe stepped on, didn't even go down all the way, got up and knocked Caparello out, but you don't want to hear excuses.

But here Hopkins is just "off balance"?
Double standard much?

Like nothing :lol1:
He beat the hell out of him in the 12th.
He was knocked down by Kovalev.

By looking at the 'KD'. :pat:
If he'd had both feet available to keep his balance, he would not have gone down. His arse didn't even touch the canvas, just a glove.
And he didn't lean back. Your memory is off.
You're right he didn't lean straight back. My mistake.
The rest is arguable. It was a legit KD either way.
Caparello landed one helluva shot. That shouldn't be discredited by an accidental step of, on the boot.
Max Kellerman said it shouldn't of been a KD and the reason he went down most likely was because of the foot step. You can clearly tell that he was off balance from that
IF Max says it- its gotta be true
Kovalevs only KD where he doesn't have someone elses foot on his is against Boone, who obviously dropped Ward and KO'd Adonis
Whats funny to me though... is.... There is no footage of that ANYWHERE. Boxrec doesn't even list a KD in that fight.
How do we know for sure he actually got dropped by Boone? Serious question. I don't know where the reports ever came from
If any boxers foot is stepped on while they get punched- they're most likely losing their balance and going down
Floyd, Manny, Ward, all would of went down in that circumstance, IMHO
Yeah. The foot was stepped on. The main reason he went down. had to watch it again.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Boone though.
I didn't see the KD. But I heard it was legit. Though described as a flash KD.
I read it was a heavy knockdown and Kovalev was lucky to get the decision. Never been able to find the video footage though :(
If he hadn't had his foot stood on, he wouldn't have gone down.
Lol how on earth do you know?
He leaned straight back - with a hard punch in the face, that often leads to a knockdown hence why it's known as a cardinal sin in boxing.
Not sure about Echols may of been but sure I recall someone else dropping him. Vaguely remember catching it on KOTV back in the day
He was dropped twice both by Mercado and Pascal
