No women refs in mans boxixing

Notwithstanding that small refs get given heavyweight fights, I'd be very happy to see Ann Wolfe become a ref and officiate a heavyweight fight. Don't see what the issue is here other than "I don't think a woman' place is around combat sports", which is dumb. Evidence trumps generalised rules. She did a good job, even if you do find the name 'Sparkles' annoying.

She did a great job.

Sparky (the ref) has been involved in boxing for many years! She is a capable official and does a great job. If a fighter disrespects her then he gets DQ'd just like any other fighter who acts like a fool! Ray.

I don't like woman refs in the higher weight divisions. She was real tentative to step between Kovalev and for good reason. I think they should ref the lower weight classes. Don't want a woman trying to stop Deontay Wilder or GGG

Can't say I had too much of an issue with her performance, she missed Caparello standing on Kovalev's foot for the k/d but Kovalev missed it too.

My problem with a woman ref in men's boxing is that sometimes ref's take punches. She did a good job, but I don't think they should put a woman in there and take a chance of one getting hit.

Nope. She was tentative an looked nervous. She didn't look in control. I've seen it in the ams, but I don't see it working at championship level.
