Just to even things up....
Made a thread yesterday about Golovkin's thoughts on a potential Andre Ward fight.
Ward (and his fans) like to go around saying that GGG is ducking him because he won't move up in weight to fight him.
OK then for argument's sake, let's say GGG is ducking. So why doesn't Ward move up in weight to fight Sergey Kovalev? Both are on HBO, both need a big fight.
Why is Ward so reluctant?
I like Ward but he is wasting his career. He should have moved up to fight Dawson and been a two division title holder. He is a great fighter and had huge momentum after the Super Six. He blew it and the guy he beat, Froch, has more options and more lucrative fights. Ward messed it up! At this point he should fight anyone, get back in the ring. The guys he wants dont need him. Go to Britain or move up Andre.
He didn't say he wasn't ready you dunce
He said "Ward is too much" , AKA... "thinking about Ward is too much right now, I have a world class opponent in front of me next weekend"
He barely speaks English. You're really reaching here.
His team said he wasn't ready for Ward and that it was an unfair fight.
Reaching is trying to claim that Ward is ducking GGG.
Golovkin himself said Ward is too much right now. His team said he's not ready and it's an unfair fight.
Fantard translation - "Ward is ducking GGG" :dunce:
GGG is looking at Cotto/Canelo because they are bigger money fights. He doesn't want to fight Ward now - not a duck, just business.

What part of my post was not the truth?
I'm barely a GGG fanboy

Basically the moral of the story is that both GGG and Ward fans need to STFU about people ducking their guys.
Nah. Everyone is still ducking Golovkin. Including Ward
Ward is all talk. He never sent an offer.... He's calling out Golovkin while In the middle of a lawsuit, no promoter and semi-retirement
Just like Quillin saying he would fight him after he can hide behind the network dispute

Bump
Andre "Golovkin" Ward
"I am ready to fight the best 168- and 175-pounders that are out there," Ward told ESPN.com in a recent interview. "At this point, a big fight at 175 is interesting to me. I don't want to go up just to go up. But for the right fight, for a big fight, I would go up. I'm willing to fight anyone at '68 or '75."
ward got 2 million to fight that bum rodriguez. that's some of the best promoting i've ever seen and ward isn't happy?
Any other promoter would get him 2 billion
A fight with DeGale makes sense, Algieri gets a Pacman fight after "beating" Provodnikov, why shouldn't DeGale deserve a Ward fight after he destroyed his sparring partner?
Because that really don't solve his problem, first off of all, who are we kidding here...Ward vs Kovalev is not a big fight, big money fight or a PPV Fight. Kovalev is not a star or a draw in the US just yet but he is trying to BUILD towards it.
After Kovalev 175 then what? Is a great question considering the fact that lets be honest he is with HBO at the moment, B-Hop, Stevenson are all on Showtime. So he would run into the same situation that he is in now in after 1 FIGHT AT 175! He might as well wait for Chavez Jr or GGG to move up, maybe a younger guy like DeGale or J'Leon Love, Groves, Oosthuizen can emerge and come after him I don't know but he is in a horrible situation.
