I would rather see Chris Algeri. Dude is unbeaten, long ranch with a jab and knows how to use it, decent proven chin.
He is definitely a better choice over, Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman, Amir Khan.
Pacquiao takes on people with a style not suited for him, that makes him great.

Theres no way Floyd would beat Algeiri
Algeiri is the kind of fighter than hes been ducking his entire career.
Floyd picks opponents that are usually shorter than him with a shorter reach and are flat footed with low volume.
Algeiri has better footwork and would boxes circles around him with throwing over 1000 punches a fight
Algeiri UD 120-108 x3

I honestly think Manny blasts Algieri out inside of 4. I believe he will be overwhelmed by Manny's hand and foot speed. Ruslan was on the verge of a blowout, I think Manny will deliver. BTW I'm not a huge Manny fan or anything but I think Chris is in a little too deep this time.

Im a big fan. And we can sugarcoat it all we want. But this is a pointless fight at this point of his career. No story. No nothing. Just little business. Waste of time and for what's left on his tank. This would just add another wrinkle and i doubt it would light a fire on his belly. He'll be more excited to coach kia motors than to fight this guy. If a person doesnt have the hunger to fight someone that is where things usually go wrong. Unlike floyd he gets his hunger on his zero not on his opponents. We ask for new fights not for recycled ones, but this is not what we meant.
a story got to begin somewhere...
buster douglas was a nobody....
he just took tyson's virginity away...
a 1 hit wonder, maybe....
but the point is you can never tell...

I actually think this has all the makings of a barn burner. Algeiri has a pretty strong and timely degree that'll surely pose all kinds of problems for Pacquiao. His masters is pretty strong too; when paired with his niceness I can see him stopping Pacquiao at any time.
Arum is figuratively charging people to view Pacquiao eat **** off a plate, and certain degenerates are lapping it up.
are you bipolar? Or just pain ignorant? Get your stories straight!
Because my sarcasm wasn't abundantly clear. You fucking idiot.

He does have heart, no question. Pac will beat his ass though but what the hell, it's a decent fight so make it happen. Algieri won't be able to hurt Pac and he will get jacked up but it could be interesting.
Curious to see what people would say if Floyd was fighting him............
he fought ortiz and guerrero. guerrero wasn't even a champ(except in his own mind) and ortiz was a one win wonder like algeri except algeri proved he wasn't a mental midget like ortiz is.
I think that as far as ease of making a matchup you have a valid point
BUT
if Floyd is expected to reach out and make a fight with Pac (toprank fighter) we should hold Pac to the same standards and expect him to make fights with GBP fighters.
The lack of consistent opinions is what makes the fight lack credibility. I'm sure if I peruse your post history I will find posts where you claim Floyd is ducking Pac, but by the same logic the inability for Pac to make fights with GBP fighters should mean he is ducking the whole GBP stable.
Now I don't agree with this at all, but you have to realize that by stating one thing explicitly you imply the opposite idea on the other spectrum.
nope...
i mentioned "at this point" as there is a lot of expectations on tr, al haymon and gbp fighters having a go at it...
and i have no issue on the list of fighters you gave..
however, the tr, al haymon and gbp fighters could not yet be matched as there are still legal impediments....
should you care to know, i am a pac fan as i am a filipino...
i rate him higher than floyd not because his a countryman but based on what he had already achieved...
and i respect pac...i respect the choice he made now considering the situations of the promoters...not only on the credentials of other fighters..
lol some pac fans really do only watch 1 or 2 fights a year!! Algeri vs provo was "close" while neither would be in ANY league as Pac or Floyd. I would have even boycott a provo fight. feeding us garbage fights! Then you guys say others are less deserving? Danny Garcia, Thurman, Porter, Canelo, Cotto, Marquez, Guerrero and even glass chin khan have more of a legit reason for a payday.
very good list...credible fighters..
practical? or easy to be made fight at this point?
who are gbp or al haymon fighters?

The point of the matter is that Floyd is taking fights that will bring the most money (barring Pacquiao, that's another story). That leaves Maidana based on the hype from the last fight, Cotto and Canelo II. Pacquiao is getting criticism for these fights Bob Arum is force feeding him. Algeri's resume is crap and Arum's banking on the buzz carrying over from his win against Ruslan. I'm sick of it all.
Shaun Porter
Keith Thurman
Amir Khan
Danny Garcia
JMM rematch
Bradley rematch
Maidana
Miguel Cotto rematch at higher weight
Mikey Garcia
Lucas Mathysse
These are all fights that I think are more credible than Algieri.

Anybody who exhibits disrespect towards Pac and his career is more than likely a troll. Pac is one of the best to ever do it and that is coming from a Floyd fan. I give respect where respect is due, I just don't think at this stage of his career Pac should be fighting Algieri. If Maidana isn't/wasn't a credible match up for Floyd then Algieri doesn't belong in the same country as Pac.
There are at least 5 people I can think of that are better opponents and would provide more credibility than Algieri at this stage of the game.
