The question should be, is Floyd the first fighter to reject gloves approved, before his very own eyes by the commission and to still reject them and then bring in his own pair which his opponent had to then wear....all the while, none of this was stipulated in the contract.
Answer that and then we'll move ahead, if you can't stfu, get your fingers back up Floyd's ass and stop posting here...Pan-Africano LOL
And before you bring up SRL, Oscar etc, realise that their stipulations were written into their contracts and not staged hours before a fighter...where they then refused to compete and threw a tantrum.
Yes the rematch has it now officially written into the contracts, or so it seems, and shame on Maidana for accepting that ****.
Really??? Did u ever seen the HBO special on Joe Lewis? They talked about how Joe would threaten to cancel his fights during fight week if they didn't renegotiate his percentage of the wire money that was broadcasting his fights. It's not the first time the A side flexes his muscles. In one argument a guy like you will claim Floyd isn't on the same level if these past greats. Then in the next you hold Floyd to a higher standard than these past greats. Which one is it?
Is Floyd the first fighter to pick the opponents gloves?

Still MX gloves right? If the gloves were approved, what's the difference?
Floyd could've went along with it and not have made such a spectacle after the first pair got rejected but he didn't. And I know how the sport of boxing is which is why I understand why he did make a big deal about it. Plus Maidana didn't loose to Floyd because of the gloves. He lost the fight because Floyd landed the cleaner punches.
i was trying to find out if you are retarded or not. now i know. so do you. get some help
Are you speaking to a "retarded" and tell him to get some help? You must be aware of what you are doing.
In the Cotto fight they were 10" gloves so there was more padding. And ya the 2nd pair were approved but why should Floyd give him a second chance? You guys act like after 17 years it's Floyd that has something to prove. Floyd should do this Floyd should do that. When you complain about everything it's really hard to take you guys serious.

Of course you don't. Ignore my comment on the approved MX gloves also.

In my opinion I have no problem with Floyd taking charge of the situation. The first pair were rejected so why should Floyd give him a second shot? If they don't come correct on the first chance Floyd had every right to flex his muscles.

I'm asking you about Floyd. Even in the first fight after NSAC approved the red Everlast MX Floyd rejected that too.
Why did he let Cotto use MX gloves?

In all seriousness it's not the first time it's happened in boxing. Leonard did it to Hagler. Oscar did it to Floyd. No Floyd's doing it. It is what it is.

Serious question what's your opinion on Leonard saying Maidana can't use certain gloves against Floyd in the rematch?

There's been more Floyd threads than usual lately. PAC must be fighting some bum.
