While I believe that Lucas is past his prime, I can see this fight being the type that he would raise his game one last time and beat AB back to Cincinnati. Argentinan's are very passionate and motivated when it comes to grudge matches.

I voted Matthysee two years ago but I think Lucas has declined while Broner remained the same. AB, via decision. Both get some good shots in on each other but Broner keeps Lucas at the end of his 1s and 2s for most of the fight. Agreed......

Fight is dead. Haymon didn't even attempt to make the fight when Matthysse was a PBC fighter. Lucas went back to GBP. Broner's trainer said he's not ready for Matthysse yet.

broner's clinch skills looked on point vs porter so i may favor him seeing what postol did to lucas. then again broner's punch skills looked terrible so that's what makes it so intriguing.

Losing to top opposition then beating a few lower calibre guys like Khabib doesn't suddenly make you a great fighter again. Once he beats someone of note who's coming off a win an inactive, then I'll favour him in such a bout.
