He boxes, cant switch rhythm and uses the same choreography. I swear, every fight I watch of his its the same as the last fight.
Whats he gonna do with somebody who can box and brawl and can switch up the rhythm?
Lara is too fast, slick, and crafty for the hype job that is Canelito Alvarez. Lara won't stand in front of him and let Canelito tee off with combinations with his feet planted, he will pivot and slip his lead shots and set traps for Canelo and give him a boxing lesson.
Box? More like trading but I get what u saying. Canelo is not a pressure fighter and even if he gets close, he doesn't fight well inside. He needs his distance for his "trade". But Lara ain't interesting in trade.
If there is no knockdown or good body shots by sixth rd, I don't think Canelo would have much stamina. Win by puncher chance or possible robbery?!
Lara is going to have to dominate most of the rounds plus get a knockdown to win this fight.
Angulo has some of the worst footwork I've ever seen anywhere. I swear, it's like he fights with clown shoes on.
I still can't believe Perro caught up to Lara; but Alfredo was absolutely relentless, and his stamina was seemingly inexhaustible. You seems to forget about the size of the ring and how slow the mat was, those little thing will contribute to a fighter like perro to catch up to Lara, but what it shows is how well Lara reacts under pressure, and yes I couldn't believe how energetic perro was in that fight which has nothing to do with Lara because he tagged him all night long, I think if it wasn't for all the weight advantage perro had that night Lara would had take him out earlier, the weight is another thing these so called experts forget...
Yeah people need to stop comparing them. Polar opposites.
Canelo NEEDS to put pressure on to win this fight though. If he attempts to box the entire time then he's not going to win.
Box, but he's got to take it to him when he can. Combinations. Going to be hard for him to do that though.

Stamina is exaggerated when critics talk about Canelo. He did not look gassed against Angulo. If so, the evidence was subtle not clear. Lara is an economical puncher. His output is no greater than Canelo's. I thought Lara looked gassed against Williams. The whole gassed thing is blown out of proportion.
I don't think that is a factor in this fight.
errr....To be honest....Angulo look very ....shall we say drained energy wise. He didn't see very active at all....JUST SAYING.
Stamina will be an issue. Canelo having drain himself to make weight will DEFINITELY be a factor.
Losing the way he did was a huge setback in my opinion. He fought a stupid fight and refused to take risks against a smaller fighter when it was clear things weren't going his way. Canelo's loss was embarassing to be honest. Even Guerrero put up a better effort. Cotto and Maidana have nothing to be ashamed of: they were smarter -than Canelo- and really tried to win.
He still went straight onto PPV in his next fight. So it wasn't that "huge". I was more referring about the casual fan buying the fight and not necessarily how some of us seen it.

LOL. Is Canelo "MULTI-dimensional'?
How many dimension?
4-D, 5-D?!
You guys have to remember loosing to Floyd is not a major setback. But loosing to Lara would be IMO. If things should get too rough for canelo in there, I'd imagine were gonna see that Mexican heart on full display.

I don't think canelo is a "pressure fighter" but he is able to apply serious pressure when he wants. He's not gonna win on just boxing alone, but he can keep it close. Pressure from canelo is gonna be the key in between the boxing IMO. Therefore breaking up Lara's rhythm and giving him his best chance at winning this fight and maximizing punishment done.
Should have started doing that more then 2 fights ago
I agree. It's just not Canelo though, I'm not sure why some guys here are making him out to be some pressure fighter, only logical explanation is the Angulo fight but Angulo is there to be hit.
Pretty sure I can punch Angulo in the face right now from my couch in NJ.

Don is right. Canelo is going to stalk intelligently and throw swift combination punches to open/get through Lara's guard and he will find Lara's opening just like Angulo's slow ass did.
