So what are they? Post them here.
The ones that stick out for me so far:
Molina v Matthysse
Gamboa v Crawford
Froch v Groves II
Guerrero v Kamegai
Cotto v Martinez, simply for the shock value
I'm not going to pretend to know what the best fight this year was, but I enjoyed Crawford/Gamboa the most. Great atmosphere, high level of skill and talent, great exchanges, I loved it.
Javier Mendoza vs. Ramon Garcia
Orlando Salido vs. Terdsak Kokietgym
Terrance Crawford vs. Yuriokis Gamboa
Robert Guerrero vs. Yoshihiro Kamegai
Bermane Stiverne vs. Chris Arreola II
Monty Meza-Clay vs. Alan Herrera
Humberto Soto John Molina
Lucas Matthysse vs. John Molina
Jose Lopez vs. Roberto Castaneda
Curtis Stevens vs. Tureano Johnson
Rod Salka vs. Monty Meza-Clay
Steve Cunningham vs. Amir Mansour
Tommy Coyle vs. Daniel Brizuela
Francisco Rodriguez vs. Katsunari Takayama
It was almost as one sided as the original, I think I gave Bradley the first couple rounds, simply cos he came out swinging like tarzan but after that it was all Pac, I might have given him a couple more rounds.
Noway was that 7-5. Pac did what he wanted in that fight, even bradley admitted to it, there was no pretense that he won the fight this time, he looked completely dejected but credit to him for fighting through it till the end and not wanting to quit and run like Mosley before him.
I thought Bradley did not wanna take anything away from Pac(which is why he wished he could take back that injury talked,as well as I did),I thought Bradley won 5 rds..Some early, and(I can't remember off the top of my head)1 or 2 of the late rds..Don't matter anyway, this time I felt Pac won(I did not feel that way for the first fight)clearly..It was also a very exciting fight imo..
You thought Bradley Pac 2 was one sided??I disagree there..I had it 7-5 Pac..

yeah, same here, when guys are fighting on a lower domestic level, no legitimate title involved, it really takes away from the fight. Guys fighting at the highest level of pugilism, like Froch/Groves, Gamboa/Crawford etc are always superior.
damn that's some fight.
also someone mentioned Bradley/Pac II, I wouldn't rate it anywhere near a top 10, it was too one sided.
Maidana/Floyd may get a shout cos like Cotto/Martinez, it was so surprising

Prob all the fights you listed but I'd add mayweather/maidana and PAC/ bradley 2

Both of your post combined would be my list so far..I know there were some good ones on a lower scale..Yet for me to make my list it has to be on a grand stage..
The sport is big enough for any type of fighter to carve his own history and lane. Mayweather is technical but there are many more styles that enrich the sport. If it weren't for "barroom brawlers" and their "wildness" the sport of boxing in the pro's would be nothing but pot shotting. Styles make fights and 2 technical fighters tend to drag fights on unless one of them has good power. Plus brawlers vs technically sound fighters are among the most enjoyable match ups that can be made. BTW if you get punched and punch back, you are fighting. Fighting is fighting what differentiates boxers is their abilities and skill, so if you don't have much of one you work with what you have.
Brawling = Fighting
Pot Shotting over a coma inducing 12 rounds = Fighting
spot on!
people act like technicians aren't fighters or that aggressive fighters can't be good boxers, that is ridiculous.
Leonard is one of the greatest technical fighters I have ever seen and he could be a great brawler too if and when he wanted to be.
:lol1:
Wild fight, but some of the comments are hilarious and downright absurd. Actually, sounds like they could be some NSB frequenters.
You have guys saying stuff like 'send this video to Mayweather. Show him what real fighting is all about' and yet these guys would get utterly dominated and KTFO without him breaking an eyelash.
No fellas, what Mayweather is real fighting. What these guys gave us was an entertaining, slightly above par, barroom brawl of wildness. It was a plain street fight, which is sometimes good fun, but people comparing this type of thing kind of miss the point of what it means to be a great fighter. Putting on an entertaining, wild, back and forth fight is quite different to being a great fighter.
