Pacquiao seems like he's gotten lazy. He just lucky he's a small guy so he doesn't really have to worry about making weight.
I don't think he's lazy in training I think he's just gotten really cautious since the knockout. He seems to ease back on the gas pedal and coast through his fights, he's been doing that for a bit.
James Toney, Brandon Rios, Adrien Broner. Who else?
This video inspired this thread. Go to 14:00
That video and the people in it are literally clueless about boxing. A typical bunch of tools talking like they are experts on a subject which they clearly have no clue about.
It opens with a guy arguing that Mike Tyson beats George Foreman, because "Foreman got no jab. No jab. He don't have a jab at all'
Really?
It's like one of those NSB conversations in which guys just make up random facts as they go along to suit whatever crap they're trying to argue. They've seen some highlights of Foreman knocking guys out, and he's known as a big slugger, so they form the opinion that he's just a power puncher and that guys with good jabs have to fight like Ali, Holmes and Lewis, therefore they know for a certainty now that Foreman 'has no jab, he got no jab, no jab at all'
George Foreman couldn't jab? Ya could have fooled me. I'd always been of the opinion that he had one of the hardest heavyweight jabs in history and that's a very standard view. Not only was it like someone else's straight right, it was also educated is well timed, straight and sneaky. He has one of those jabs that everyone calls underrated, yet everyone but a few dim bulbs knows how good it was.
Ricky Fatton, er, I mean Hatton.
Lazy how?
He did same thing as has James Toney, Roberto Duran these guys ballooned up massively in weight after a fight when not training as did Erik Morales but when he got back into training he was one hard working SOB...
Lazy, I think not!
rios and broner?
both are reported to be very hard workers, man. they used to kill themselves to make 135, and 130 in broner's case. that's hard, hard work.
toney is a great shout. other than his prime at middleweight he had periods where he hardly trained.
later in his career, he ate some BURGER KING!

duran for certain fights
joan guzman
david tua
chris arreola
odlanier solis
Toney though, he sparred all the time, so he trained all the time as far as keeping his skills up. What I heard is he didnt like running/cardio and relied on sparring for that. He didnt have stamina problems in the ring, he was just a fat ass. He sparred too much though and is punk drunk as a result, so its a bad idea to use sparring for fitness.
Are we talking about him taking time off of boxing for religious reasons?
We could apply this to Foreman as well If so.
Foreman worked his ass off in his comeback and its not like it happened overnight. He went from fighting tomatoe cans all the way to chasing and acquiring the belt over the course of like 6 years. Even if he never got the belt, he still would have went 12 rounds with the likes of morrison, holyfield and moorer. His diet was probably bad but he changed his style and everything to make it work.
With the exception of the Tyson fight James Buster Douglas was also very lazy.
this is a very good one.
douglas had a huge reach, big time jab, and he could punch. he could have been a contender!

Kostya Tszyu. His "Jesus" duties out there in Australia left little time for work itself as things turned out.

Good point didn't know which one the OP meant. I feel like Bradley gets lazy in the ring quite often, or rather discouraged.
