When Roger stepped into the ring and the riot ensued? I guess ref's discretion but shouldn't that of been grounds for instant-DQ giving Floyd a DQ loss?
exactly..it is to the refs desecration.....just like when the corner throws in the towel..the ref does not have to stop the fight if he does not want to
I think the ref did that in the Miguel Cotto-Yuri Foreman fight... If my mind serves me correctly
Source? Ive never heard of that.
The source is Bob Arum really. He's stated it more than once.

Berman Stiverne was not DQed after he dropped Arreola in the first fight even though his corner threw in the stool and began to enter the ring. They got a stern warning from the ref. Its the refs job to access these things as not all incidents are equal.
He probably should have been. But that would have been a horrible ending considering Judah precipitated the whole incident in the first place. Judah shouldn't get a win because he was mad he was losing and decided to act like a *****. Just like it was bull**** when Molina got dqed.
you may have something there....
but if you get to watch the pac vs nadel fight.....
and see the blatant fouls nadel gave pac....
but pac's team did not enter the ring......
just another point to consider....
That Molina call by the Ref was horrendous ... The bell had rung before the count started, so it was an incorrect call to DQ Molina.
In Floyd vs Judah ... Yes, it should have been a DQ but it was up to the Ref to execute i.e his discretion. Also, I have never seen a PPV fight with irregularities end in a DQ, its just too big an event.
I think I read somewhere that the only thing that saved Mayweather from being DQ was his reaction, he calmly stood at the corner and didnt complicate things,
Yeah, I think this played a big part. I happened to be at this fight and watched him stand calmly in that corner the whole time. I'm glad he didn't escalate the issue and that the ref saved the fight.
I think that is how he ended up turning the crowd in his favor. At first it felt like the majority of fans were rooting for Zab, after the riot...more people were chanting for Floyd. i've never seen a crowd turn like that before
Grounds for a DQ were there for either fighter. Bottom line is the Ref had authority to make the decision and chose not to DQ.exactly..it is to the refs desecration.....just like when the corner throws in the towel..the ref does not have to stop the fight if he does not want to

This one is easy ...... Yes, Floyd should have been DQed.
It wasn't just putting the foot in the ring type DQ, Floyd's team came in there to attack Zab Judah. If that doesn't get a DQ then what should.
Also, remember that Roger was also suspended due to that incident ...... yup DQ is what he should have gotten.
I think I read somewhere that the only thing that saved Mayweather from being DQ was his reaction, he calmly stood at the corner and didnt complicate things,
back to TS question, I was also asking the same question before but really did not get an answer as the discussion moved somewhere else and this specific question remained unanswered....
usually when a team members enters the ring it is ground for DQ, I remember that happen barrera-jones 1....
this fight floyd's was legitimately KD as his gloves touched the canvas but was not called
When Roger stepped into the ring and the riot ensued? I guess ref's discretion but shouldn't that of been grounds for instant-DQ giving Floyd a DQ loss?
Didn't the ref call time out? He definitely could've dq'd floyd but I think he was weighing whether to dq zab for the low blow.
just think about what you wrote for a second. according to mayweather. he is a notorious liar and a downright retard when it comes to making decisions. he gave all his money to some guy named willie. why isn't he crying that willie owes him money? if he wanted more money he should have fought margarito for 7 million instead of sharmba for 4. steady ducking.
Do i really need to post this entire story again?where do you get Mitchell from? he wasnt even offered the Margo fight until after the Judah fight
After Mayweather defeated Zab Judah, he was offered 8 million to fight Antonio Margarito on August 12th 2006. Leonard Ellerbe had this to say after the Judah fight.
Floyd is not 100 percent healthy,” Ellerbe said. “He has a bruised right hand. His hand is not broken. It’s bruised, but it’s a bad bruise. He wants to go into any fight 100 percent healthy. If Antonio Margarito happens to be the best available option when he is healthy, so be it”.
“We are not turning down Margarito. I want to make that crystal clear. When and if he is the best available option for Floyd’s next fight, that’s the direction he will move in.” If you noticed, that was Ellerbe speaking. Not Floyd. Let’s move on.
Bob Arum, Mayweather’s promoter at the time said that Mayweather preferred to await the outcome of the May 6 Oscar De La Hoya-Ricardo Mayorga fight instead of committing to Margarito because he would prefer to fight De La Hoya.
Arum stated that Mayweather would have fought Margarito for the 8 million, but he wanted a guaranteed 10 million to fight Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. Arum only guaranteed him 7 million. And for those who don’t know Cotto and Hatton were at the Mayweather-Gatti fight and Cotto was ranked number 5 by the ring at the time (Proof: Listen to the commentary Jim Lampley at the end of round 5) . Cotto had just moved up to the 140 pound weight class and he didn’t make an offer to fight Mayweather after the Gatti fight.
Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn’t interested in participating in. “That’s not in the cards,” Arum said. “He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It’s not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. We’ll talk about things down the road.” Notice this part Arum was talking.

Face time: Mayweather had nothing to gain from fighting Margarito financially. There was no reward for this. There might have been a risk (but I can’t say what would have happened because it didn’t happen). Mayweather went on to fight the Carlos Baldomir for a dollar more 8,000,001, but he was the lineal welterweight champ. But Oscar had both risk and reward and we saw the results. Several people have fought and beat Margarito and their careers haven’t gone anywhere (Paul Williams, Shane Mosley). If anyone can provide me with

who knows man, but he owes the man money, why even be surprised or doubt that?? hell he is openly fvcking Manny over right now...and he did sue Arum
According to Mayweather, Arum still owes him money from his fights with Arturo Gatti (11/2005) and Zab Judah (4/2006). Mayweather even sued Arum for the 85 and 80 percent respectively that he claimed he was owed for those fights.

the guy owes him money you say but that didn't stop Jr from handing over stacks to buy his way out of his contract ... imagine that paying hundreds of thousands if not millions to a guy that he claims still owes him money...theres no loyalty in your guy he showed that by abandoning HBO so why not take the old man to court
Because he wished to terminate the contract. I suppose he could have argued Arum breached their contract, but that would take time; Arum could also present the argument that it wasn't a sufficient enough breach of their contract to call for termination. So, you're left with Mayweather buying out his contract being the cleanest and most time efficient way of leaving.
And, for your information, Arum has admitted to owing Mayweather money.

lol you dont even know what loyalty means dude, if you at work and you are getting harassed or bullied by your colleagues or boss or just dont like the occupation no more and decide to find something new you are not loyal either huh? :killyou:
