I think Danny boy could no look hook his ass. TC just like Gamboa has crazy heart, and WILL trade with you if you try to punk him.
You guys gotta remember. Herrera is crazy busy, and moves like a mongoose. TC is very deliberate and text book.
I think that given time TC can achieve a lot at 140.
He's got a great natural athleticism - so with the right conditioning I think he will carry 140 no problems at all.
I really enjoyed the fight with YG, but I think TC was pretty much in control - despite losing the early rounds.
Give it say, another 12-18 months and I'd put money on TC beating Lucas and Prov.
TC has some real skills and the potential to go far.
TC I believe goes 4-? vs these 7
he beats............50/50
algieri...............matthyse
provodnikov.....dsg
Broner.............herrera
peterson
I think he beats matty and Herrera dsg would be a dog fight
Cmon guys stop with the hype now please.
Dude lost the first 4 rounds when Gamboa was not acting all crazy. It was Gamboas defense and size that lost him the match not Crawford's skill.Gamboa started coming in with NO DEFENSE at all and started getting clocked due to his hands being down at all times when he traded.
Let him face Ruslan and see if he trades with him like Bradley did, dude get KO'ed more times than no defense Gamboa.
Danny, Lucas, Rus, AB all stop him and lets not even talk about the elite 147 fighters than can drop to 140.
:killyou:
Dude, c'mon. You know it went like this.
TC's manager: "Hey Terence, Prescott's opponent had to pull out, you think you'd be ready for him in 2 weeks?"
TC: "LMAO, I'd outbox that guy with one hand tied behind my back, and with a 30 lb. weight disadvantage."
And also remember. TC didn't have to cut his weight like he'd have to for 135. He came in around 152-154 for the fight. Roy was even saying that Crawford is a naturally big dude, otherwise he wouldn't have come into the ring at that weight.
What? He is a 140 pound fighter who is a devastating puncher and Crawford beat him. That should set the precedent that Crawford will fare well at 140 against other boxers.
As to his weight, he was only 7 more pounds than Gamboa was last night. I look forward to seeing him at 140.
Crawford beats Garcia I think but this is a Haymon fighter and an Arum fighter, it's not happening.
I don't see Arum putting him with Matthysse either, or Postol/Provodnikov. Algieri is a better bet if indeed he does actually move to 140lbs.
LOL, he beat the dog schit out of Prescott on short notice. Let's not start acting like the guy has a habit of fighting smaller fighters and Gamboa had a KO rating of like 70% and he was swinging with all his force. Crawford got stunned sure but he also put Gamboa on the mat 4 times and has a KO% of over 70% himself. He'll be fine at 140 and soon, those dudes will be avoiding him like the plague.

Crawford in their with any of the bigger 140's and its lights out. He'll get by with a few more decent outings against smaller or average sized guys, but @ 140 against bigger heavier hitting guys hes out. Crawford got stunned pretty bad by Gamboa, whose 5'4. Think about Garcia 5'8 with that left hook... Night Night.
Crawford is no Mayweather.. hes closer to Floyd then Broner...but hes no Floyd.

He did fight Prescott at 140, but Prescott isn't all that good to begin with and was already past his peak at that point. Crawford's best win is still Gamboa and as impressive as it was, Gamboa isn't a true lw.
Oh, I thought Prescott fight was at 135. I stand corrected. Still, he hasn't done enough to be crowned at 140
Shoot, you guys are crazy if you think TC's a lock against Lucas, Ruslan, Algieri, Peterson, Alvarado.
TC is a beast, no doubt, but I just see this guy getting hurt. I'm telling you guys. Crawford got away with those shots landed by Gamboa, because of the size.
Yeah, guys like Lucas and Ruslan would probably hurt Crawford if they put hands on him.
But, would they? Crawford can move and punch on the fly very well and is very elusive. Gamboa hit him plenty, sure, but remember, Gamboa was an highly decorated amateur and much, much more accurate, faster and technically sound than any of those guys you mentioned.
As for punching power, i wouldn't doubt Gamboa punches harder than Angieri, Peterson and maybe Alvarado.
I haven't heard anyone call him the king of 140 yet. He hasn't even fought at LWW, so how can anyone crown him?

Crawford would school Garcia just like he beat him in the ams.
Crawford what ever "HYPE" he is getting now, he EARNED IT, it wasn't given to him like SOME FIGHTERS!
As for matching up with Garcia, 50/50 I think, Garcia has the Punchers Chance but Garcia boxing skills are a bit underrated as well, he showed versatility against Zab Judah and Matthysse
Crawford could stay outside, time him and out-box him also IMO

It's not being a fanboy. I agree but its not because Matthysse is the killer of all killers but just the style clash. For example, Maidana is not a superior boxer to Canelo or Marquez but he gave Floyd way more problems than they did. I would pick Canelo to blast Maidana out of the water.
I'm kind of hesitant saying anything definitive about Lucas right now, because I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around him losing to Danny. I was so sure about that fight. I don't know how much of what I'm saying is still that mindset from before he lost to Garcia. :lol1:
Lucas typically is at his best when he get get a full head of steam chasing someone, and Crawford doesn't seem the type to spoil and clinch every time Lucas got close. He fights inside. That's dangerous, dangerous, dangerous against Matthysse.
Man, that's a good fight. Another one that likely can't happen though.
