Mayweather and Pac camps have been quiet.... what's brewing?

Same thing as always. One guy waits for the other to schedule a fight and then starts talking **** after the fact. This, pretty much.

People calling the Showtime contract a reason why he could fight Pac next are hilarious, i mean whats so hard to understand that this is a SHOWTIME contract and Floyd would have to fight on SHOWTIME...do you guys really think Bob would allow Manny to fight on SHOWTIME or SHOWTIME would allow Floyd to fight on HBO?

I wouldn't be surprised if the fight gets made now. Close to half a decade too late. I can only imagine how they'll try to sell this crap to us.

Neither fighter hinting at who could be next. What is brewing? When will we hear something, and will will Floyd even fight in September? It seems to me there is an awkward silence going on given that these two are the biggest generators of revenue in boxing. Im sure Mayweather camp is trying to justify why they are not fighting Maidana again and thinking of how to sell a fight with an opponent no one wants to see.

Cotto-Mayweather II anywhere between 157-160 is intriguing. Pacquiao-Maidana, Pacquiao-Canelo works as well. Pac-Maidana is intriguing because of the situation. Not sure Arum really wants to make those fights though. And yea... Abregu? Lol. No casual fan has heard of him. The #'s will tank.

pacquiao is trying to maximise his earning potential, and lengthen his career. floyd is tryign to do the same without losing his showtime contract. pacquiao wants to fight cans in macau china, where you can sell them total crap and they won't know the difference. mayweather is probably going to try and fight miguel cotto for the lineal 160 lb championship. i'm predicting a catchweight. boxing is what it is. these guys are here to make as much money as they can, and retire with their health intact.

You guys just need to stop acting as if you know exactly how the Floyd Mayweather Jr / Showtime deal works. I'm no expert in the subject either but i'm damn sure Showtime executives knew each PPV wasn't going to do 1 million plus buys. I'm also sure these well educated Showtime executives figured out different ways to generate revenue with Floyd Mayweather Jr. golden boy infiltrated showtime(new exec used to work for golden boy) and now they are just funneling money to themselves. it doesn't matter if showtime loses money because golden boy earns money. a nice little leech operation.

Hasn't Mayweather run out of time for the September date? If he does fight on that date then it will be a rushed promotion. Same thing I was wondering at this point as well.... and in May they are talking Cotto-Canelo. Wouldn't be surprised if he took the rest of the year off, fought once next year and retired. No one else to fight except the guy he refuses to fight and the promoter he refuses to work with. Arum and GBP are trying to make mega fights during the times he usually fights, maybe to either force him into a Pac fight or retire?
