Is it time to cancel your showtime subscription

This year HBO is kicking Showtimes a$$ this year but no I'm still keeping my Showtime.

With the sickening news that garcia and Peterson will once again be fighting "lighter" opposition instead of fighting each other do you feel it's time to cut ties with the network. I say we all do and just stream there fights until Espinoza is canned you down? Did suggest this whenever Hbo had a **** card?

Lol I'd be willing to bet less than 10 have a subscription, all these guys *****ing about the fight and don't pay for showtime anyways... You're probably right. Haymon fanatics, especially, can't even distinguish between subscription and PPV. All the while extolling Showtime's investment on Mayweather; how their idol have attracted subscribers when they're not even subscribers themselves, not to mention Mayweather is not even on Showtime, he's on PPV.

Overreacting how? D.Garcia and Peterson are fighting guys nobody on here has heard of. Just two guys they found on the streets. How is that acceptable? These guys are 'champions', they should be fighting the best available opposition or eachother, anything less than that is unacceptable. Not just champions bruh, one is THEE 140lb "KING PIN." This is not acceptable!

It's the only way to make a statement. There's no other way. Don't buy tickets as well. They'll be forced to give them away for free. About time fans get united. You can subscribe back when they get their acts together. :unitedsta

None of those fights were on HBO. GGG has fought Proksa, Rosado, Macklin and Stevens on HBO. All ranked top ten at MW when he fought them with the exception of Rosado, but Rosado is a good opponent for most fighters. Ishida and Adama were stay busy fights, overseas, not aired on HBO. If Garcia wants a stay busy fight, it shouldn't be the main attraction of a Showtime event, imo. The reason people are complaining isn't just specifically about Garcia, rather the seemingly large amount of mismatches and showcase fights. Sure, every now and then a mismatch turns out to be a good fight, like on Saturday night, but make no mistake the Guerrero fight was intended to be a showcase fight for Guerrero. My point was just that, mismatches. I do agree about Showtime in that regard. They do not put the demands on matchups that HBO does, aside from the Proksa, Rosado, and Stevens fights of course. But Showtime shares the blame with the promoters that are unwilling to take risks with their fighters.

I know but i'd rather watch the fight on my 60" Samsung LED than some crappy stream. It's just 70 bucks. I usually spend more than that on beer and restaurants on Saturday nights anyway. No you dont understand if you got cable you dont need showtime to watch ppv. You just order it and watch it, it's a whole separate thing from your showtime subscription your showtime channel has 0 to do with the PPV channel.

I would never even consider not getting HBO or Showtime. I won't pay 50 or 60 bucks to see a pay for view that I can see for free a week later. With HBO and Showtime I get to see almost all the important fights for free plus all the good movies and shows like Game of Thrones and other great shows. No way in hell am I missing out on that no matter who is doing what at Golden Boy. Pro Boxing is the only Sport I like or watch and doing things this way I get to see world title fights almost every week end of the year.
