It's undefeated records dont mean ****. If Broner-Maidana and Bute-Froch, didnt prove that before already, then Lomachenko-Russell proves it without a doubt.
Lomachenko was 1-1 and absolutely outclassed Russell. I dont want to bring Mayweather into this but he is the one that started this whole "I still got my 0 doe" and "There's no blue print doe" bull****.
Mayweather has and always has been beatable he just has never stepped up. Fact.
While Floyd hasnt had the stiffest comp over the course of his career its plain dumb to dismiss it or not realize he is an amazing fighter.
I do find it amusing tho, when floyd fans respond to criticism with division titles, world title bouts and such...why not just list the names he has beaten?
Everytime thats done posters add descriptive qualifying atements to floyd's opponents. Those qualifiers are almost always negative.
Look at soul survivor-he called genaro hernandez "past it". he doesn't acknowledge he is a HOF'er. WHen describing opponents of other fighters those qualifying statements are not there-example his lack of any qualifier for the opponents of Manny he mentioned.
If we can get posters to use the same standards when decsribing opposition then you are right, we should just be able to list names.
oh for ****s sake, did you read what I said? and what i replied to? some nut hugger was saying Floyd was a HOFer 10 years ago, that makes it 2004, in 2004, if Floyd had retired, he would not have been a legitimate HOFer, yes he could have gotten in cos guys like Gatti and Mcguigan have over the years whereas Benn and Naz can't seem to catch a break. But in reality, those wins do not make one a HOFer. End of story.
Rigo beating Nonito is actually more impressive than anyone on Floyd's resume up to 2004, Floyd didn't beat a single p4p guy at the time. But of course Rigo isn't HOF, you have to have depth to your career and longevity.
If you did read my post correctly and still believe Floyd in 2004 was HOF worthy even if he had retired at that time, then I don't know what more to say. Heck Pacquiao, only a couple years into his career in the States had already beaten better fighters in Barrera and Marquez...the difference in early resumes is staggering.
Dam, my bad i did misread, then ya i agree with your statement about Floyd up to 2004 was no HOFer. Pac was leaps and bounds better with his resume.
Nonito and Corrales were both p4p #5 so idk about Nonito being better, Plus Hernedez beat zoom zoom, although Vic was undefeated when Nonito fought him, so it is arguable.
I don't think much of Corrales either, but if a guy fought the best in his division weather past it or not there ranked the #1 guy.
He is a HOF because besides Pac no active fighter has a better resume then those two.
Skills and Resume both go into deciding, for example
do you think Rigo is going to be in your HOF? his skills are top notch but who has he beat? p4p 5 Nonito who ppl said is overrated?
even if he beats all the top 10 contenders will he go in your HOF because none of the current SFW and SBW are HOF's themselves.

I said Castillo was very good...can your dumbass read?
Hernandez was past it, I'm not saying shot if that's what you're thinking, but again, Hernandez was another good fighter, possibly very good but not great.
Personally I enjoyed the beating that May lay on Corrales, ain't got no problems with it but none of these wins have come against great fighters, Corrales was a limited slugger at best but I'll give Floyd max credit for the Castillo win but the same can't be said for beating on a faded fighter.
Those 3 wins, as I said, you can include Corley, do not make a fighter a HOFer. Come on now.

Hernandez was past it at 32 huh, yet was the number 1 of that division? Castillo was not very good yet the number 1 of the division?
Corrlaes still fought at 130 after Floyd but was weight drained when Floyd fought him?
So let me ask you this who should Floyd fought then if not the number 1 guy of the division?

10 years ago was 2004, by then Floyd' biggest wins were a past it Hernandez, very good but not great Castillo and the first fight is damn controversial and Corrales, who some within the sport claim was weight drained. You can add Corley to that list, is that supposed to be HOF material?

It amazes me how people even post sh1t like that
how do you win 4 lineal titles and 10 world titles in 5 divisions without "stepping up"???
Mayweather deniers are like creastionists, delusional f.uc.ks...FACT
This is dumb, Russell hasn't fought any ranked fighter and had a padded record of 24-0 and yet this somehow means Floyd has the same undefeated padded record? Floyd fought all the top 10 contenders in his division, was 17-0 when he won the lineal title at 130 from Genaro Hernandez, and fought p4p 5 Corrales when he was 24-0.
Your guilt by association nonsense is severely flawed ....
Here's something to consider since you're ignorantly targeting Floyd for some unknown reason.
Floyd has been in the sport of boxing for almost 18years and during that time has received praise and accolades from everyone\every group that matters in the sport. Dude was HOF material ten years ago and didn't need to fight another fight. These are the facts! Not nut-hugging! no BS! just fact!
So, out of the clear blue, we're supposed to discount every Pro. Boxing Trainer, Writer and Analyst that have nothing but praise for Floyd - For some part-time snot-nosed forum rat, who doesn't contribute anything worthwhile to the discussion of boxing as a sport.
Grow-up dude .... Or is this the best discussion you can generate???

Also, Loma didnt absolutely outclass GRJ. He won convincingly, there is a difference. GRJ showed, to me, that he can fight at a high level, he just lost to another high-level guy who is better. GRJ showed toughness, resiliency and heart.

If you didn't want to bring floyd into this you could of used GGG or Quillin or any other fighter whose undefeated record was built on low level opposition.

You can't compare Broner, Bute and Russell Jr to Mayweather. He's stepped up in competition numerous times. You can add guys like Quillin and Wilder to your list but not Mayweather.

Mayweather never stepped up?? how do ya'll say that with a straight face?
10 world titles in 5 divisions
4 lineal titles
half of his fights are world title fights
im sorry but he does not fit into this discussion at all
