It's been quite clear for some time now that he just likes to stand and trade and he can't do anything else, but even him admitting he doesn't want to fight boxers sealed it.
I think Arum should put two one trick ponys in the same ring next for an all out war, Provo vs Rios is the perfect action packed fight.
Provodnikov was overrated after giving Bradley hell. A lot of people thought he must've gotten a lot better to do that, when in reality Bradley has always been prone to fighting stupidly, and he just paid for it against Ruslan.
I do think a Bradley-Provodnikov rematch would be in order. They're both coming off losses, and it would be a chance for Bradley to assert that the first fight was just a fluke, and a chance for Provodnikov to prove the opposite.
Was this your first Provo fight?
Not at all it was the Bradley fight, but I thought we would have seen a bit of method to his madness latnight, obviously not he is very basic.
Crude, one-paced, one-dimensional. Just an ugly fighter, no charisma, everything about his style disgusts me. The only punches he landed last night were opportunistic swings. They lined him up a feather-fisted opponent and assumed he'd just walk through him and crudely thump him into submission. Unfortunately for him and his team boxing is decided by intelligent boxing and ring smarts every now and then.
Alvarado a feather fisted? As per rios says alvarado hits harder than pac, so that's aligning him to featherfisted? Boxing 101, if a fighter loses in a fight that could be on either way, he jst is a plain slugger thats according to nsb logic.
Why wont people just give credit to ruslan for making the fight as exciting as it was:boxing:
Provo will still give good fights especially if he is facing a brawler. He will beat some lower level boxers but once the fighters can take his punch he will struggle.
Still I want to see Provo fight. He has a great chin and his short hard punching will always make it entertaining. There are still a few good fights out there for him
Perhaps Bradley should give him a rematch and show him how superior he really is.
Not a chance in the world that Bradley gets back in the ring with Ruslan, I would love to see it though.
I had Ruslan winning on my card but I've always thought of him as a glorified sparring partner. Props to Algerie though for surviving and pulling a Floyd on the scorecards.
Rios is fighting Chaves.
Provo might well be a one-trick pony, but he was good enough to hospitalise Bradley, arguably beat Herrera and stop Alvarado in his home town.
He'll be back, and he'll be hungry for KOs because he's not getting any decisions.
bradley just tried to put on a show against prov, he could have easily outboxed him but he was fired up cos everyone knew he lost to pac and got a crazy gift decision with assistance of arum and top rank corruption so he wanted to prove something to all the people who dissed him on the streets and on twitter..
herrera clearly beat ruslan and alvarado isnt that good anyway, plus he drinks and smokes too much weed between fights, doesn't stay training like a pro should..
prov is overrated, he has power but very limited boxing skills.

Its just silly, Prov should thank Bradley for not fighting like the class fighter he is and abandoning anything resembling sense and boxing skill that fight, otherwise Prov would not have gotten the chance to have beaten up Alvarado for a 140lb title.

IMO,what I comes down to when fighting Provo, is willingness not to be intimidated and not allowing him to walk you down like he did to Alvarado, Bradley on the other hand fought the wrong fight and had he fought the right fight he would have breezed through it.

Did anyone think he was ever anything more than a tough pressuring brawler who comes in to hit you with hard punches and ko you?
This is what he does and it can be effective against an opponent cooperating with him like Bradley did for much of their fight.
Well, there were polls like Ruslan vs. Mayweather and Ruslan vs. Pacquiao.
Granted, that type of sh*t is bound to happen anytime anybody gets a decent win or puts up a great fight in a losing performance (Bradley) on a major network, but still...a lot of people were saying he'd beat those two.
:lol1:
You'd think that would've been clear years ago watching him fight on ESPN. Then he has one good fight with Bradley (who doesn't move enough) and blows out the already punchy Mike Alvarado (who himself is a B level fighter) and suddenly he's a world beater.
Provodnikov is an average brawler with above average durability. Nothing more, nothing less.
