Granted Floyd would have to continue to make big money after retirement but can Floyd join Jordan as a Black Billionaire.
I also say that Jordan is regarded as the best of all time in basketball. Floyd isnt necessary there but he is in the conversation. What do u think?
So a man who was in the sport for 20 years does not have the right to "retire" or take a break? Who did he duck/avoid? Who did he cherry pick? How do you cherry pick champions is beyond me.
wow, so i guess its cool to retire when the best available fights in your division are getting made huh. or i guess its been nice we didnt get to see a prime cotto, tzyu, judah, williams, margo, casamoyer, wright disgusting huh who in their right minds would want to see floyd fight those guys hell even pac man fight. And how the hell you gon ask how you cherry pick a champ? The same damn way hes been doin for 15 years. Tearing you floyd fans up is enjoyable.......
Idiot! How can he fight all these guys in their prime when most are in different divisions during their prime? And why blame him alone for these fights not happening? Why not also blame these boxers you mentioned not challenging/fighting May? How idiotic you can be.
" Tearing you floyd fans up is enjoyable.. ". How pathetic that you can even find happiness, that you can find something in your post to enjoy. Idiotic indeed!
NO. Mayweather is just as good at wasting money as he is at making it. He has a huge gambling problem and like everyone with a gambling problem he claims he is way ahead on those big bets. That's because he only remembers when he wins. He pays the salaries of the large number of people in his entourage. He buys million dollar cars he almost never drives and multi million dollar homes he almost never lives in. Add to that the incredibly expensive jewelry he buy so much off and you have a world class spender. I have never heard about Mayweather investing his money in the stock market. He can spend like that as long as he gets 30 million or better every fight but those days are almost over. There is nothing Mayweather can do when he quits fighting that brings in that kind of money. He can't make as much money off his name as Jordon because Jordon has that clean, wholesome image that Floyd does not have. I doubt he will back off his spending when he quits boxing. He will never be as rich as Jordon.

Its cool to retire when he wants. Its very possible he was burnt out due to doing this HIS WHOLE LIFE. Would it have been nice to see him against those fighters, sure, but it didnt happen, so why cry about it. We know why Cotto didnt happen, Arum stated it was not in the cards. Didnt Kosta stay hurt, then lose to Hatton, who Floyd fought after the Hatton/Kosta fight? Judah was still in his prime (29 when they fought), and that was still a highly anticipated fight whether you want to try and play it down or not. Williams, didnt happen, seems like there was never negotiations. Arum stated for Margo again, not in the cards, have no clue about Casamayor, when did you expect them to fight. And the Winky thing is the utter most ridiculous one considering Winky was fighting at Super Middle Weight or something like that when it was talked about while Floyd might have been at 135-140. Rebute please.
so your sayin it was a cool move by floyd to retire when things were getting good? you also have guys like marquez or cotto, pac who fought the best and been doin this for a long time i wonder why they dont go on vacation too. how you gon say judah or cotto was in their prime when judah had lost to tzy, spinks and baldomir yeah ok. when the cotto fight got announced me and my dad laughed so hard. by that time cotto had already met marga and mr pacman. wise choice by floyd huh. floyd could of fought tzyu too dont know why you say he kept hurt. Floyd also ducked margo, but didnt have a problem facing ndou, gatti, or baldomir, lmfao.......
he can do both, its very unlikely in both cases though. i would say he stands the best chance at becoming a billionaire, if he invests wisely and finds other avenues for revenue outside the ring he could do it down the line.
there isnt enough time and competition for him to go down as the best fighter ever though imo. but he truly is one of the greats already, so i wouldnt say its impossible. just highly, highly, highly unlikely.

That means he need to fight exciting fighters. As a boxing fan, I luv that idea/QUOTE]
Correction -as a floyd fan you mean.
how can anybody be a floyd fan is beyond me. from the retiring, ducking, avoidings, glove issue, cherry picks, dude is a living joke.
What a dumb ass.
You act like he is fighting day in and day out, but how practical that WW was heating up when he decided to retire doe..........
Im not acting like he is figting day in and day out. The man has the right to take a break if he wants. Who are we to tell him when he can take a break or not? I see no connection with him retiring when he did and the welterweight division being hot, but i guess conspiracy theorist will state otherwise. If he didnt try to make those fights happen, i would understand, but he did, and Arum stated: "Thats not in the cards. You got to know when to hold them, and when to fold them."

Not a chance. MJ changed the entire sports landscape and how athletes can market themeselves. MJ is still the most popular athlete across the world in many polls despite having not played an NBA game in over a decade. Floyd's appeal is very limited once he is done fighting and many companies don't want to be associated with him due to his legal troubles and controversial comments and fighting guys at fatburger. Plus those TMT shirts look like they were printed up at a mall kiosk and will never be 1/100 as popular as the Jordan Brand.
So....no..
What a stupid question. Floyd makes alot of money because people pay to see him lose. The fighters he has in his stable are crap with padded records, where would he makey any money 2 years from now? He would make the biggest payday against Pacquiao but he is still scared. Safety first.
Floyd may have millions but he will never know what real friendship is.

Floyd has not even been my favorite fighter over the last 5 or 6 years. I am a boxing fan first and not a "fan of any man".
But if Im honest its encouraging for me to see extremely successful black man. MJ being a Billionaire is a big deal. Just having a convo about somebody who can make 40 million a fight easy. Even Jordans contract will the bulls werent worth 40 million a year.
Floyd would need to invest though.
