Does last night's cotto beat Williams, Pavlik and Martinez in their primes?

There is no way he beats Pavlik in his prime...lol I'm kidding they may have well been awesome fights. I think Cotto would have a great chance at beating Williams in his prime because he was faster and could make him pay when he winged those wild punches.

Williams would be a great back and forth fight but I can see Cotto outworking him and earning a decision. Pavlik would overwhelm Cotto with his size and punching power similar to what Margarito did. Prime Martinez would soundly beat Cotto.

Prime Williams would be a great slugfest 50/50 fight, Prime Pavlik could take a pounding and give it right back he hit like a mule !!! Prime Martinez would be able to move and plant his feet better and would have much more snap on his punches...

no not really. Yes really. The only other scenario where an ATG loses matches is when he comes across a fighter that is a bad style for him. Trout wasn't a bad style match up for Cotto, it was just that Cotto doesn't have the stamina to compete with boxers and he relies on his power to slow ppl down as much as he slows down. Cotto also lost to Clottey in my book, and that's another style that wasn't bad for him. BTW where was Cotto's ATG hook against Trout and Mayweather. I don't recall him landing any meaningful ones. You know what punch he did land? The jab.

really? look at all ATG resumes and look at their losses. every ATG has their bad days and losses against subpar opposition. and to say cotto's left hook isn't his best punch is ludicrous. his jab is a good punch but it's secondary compared to his legendary left hook. Those losses usually come when fighters become shot but keep fighting for the paycheck.

catching them with quick, strong left hooks all day long. body and head. all day long. cotto's left hook is almost as good as frazier's and he showed it last night be dismantling a fellow ATG. like i said before, there is no shame losing to an ATG like cotto. You must be trolling. An ATG doesn't lose to someone the likes of Trout. Second Cotto's best punch is the jab and his hook is in no way an ATG hook, hell it's not even as good as Tito's.
