Dear God, beat up a shot to pieces Martinez and now we have to endure 1000s of threads of who would win in a fight Cotto or The Incredible Hulk.
1)Cotto would not fight Martinez when Martinez would have destroyed him.
2)Cotto becomes an A side fighter... by losing his A fights. His win against a shot to bits Martinez is now his best win.
3)Martinez showed up barely capable of standing, at times his knees would give even due to the momentum of his own punches alone. The man cant stand well, let alone fight. That's Martinez own fault and he has no one else to blame but himself, but does that make Cotto some kind of legend?
For fuks sakes no. Unfortunately Martinez couldnt fight and he shoudlnt have showed up this way. We didnt see some epic battle where both guys went to war and Cotto came out victorius. We saw an old guy that can barely fight get punched. Could it had been an epic war? Sure, if Martinez had been capable of fighting half as well as we hoped for it would have been a good fight. With a 80% Martinez he would have dominated and most likely won. This shadow of who Martinez once was isnt exactly fight of the year candidate.
You'd think these things would be obvious enough among boxing fans but well..
Ok, I'm out of here until the threads of "Did a Cotto hook cause the Big Bang?" threads calm down.
You Ferfal, what's your hospital room #? I wanna send you a few boing magazines and some oranges:greddy2:. I am worried about you son.
Seriously lol!! Take and L and move on.
Hey kid, you know Cotto was at 147 for a while right? Did you expect Cotto to fight Martinez right after the Manny bout? You are in denial. Don't be so impressionable next time because you see Sergio beat a guy named Julio's son down for 10 rounds. Cotto is not "junior" the sooner you learn this, the less heartbroken you will be on a lonely Sunday morning. It is imperative that you learn to analyze reality and not fall into the hype. Did you really think Julio's son was on the level of a world class Puerto Rican fighter? Cotto did not get into the game because his dad was famous in the 80s son. Cotto got into the game because he was a born fighter. A pit bull who paid his actual dues in the gym. A real born fighter and not just "Julio's son." :greddy2:
ok Cottard, clam down.
Getting so nervous you'll mess up your menstrual cycle.
