A lot of you guys are just plain haters

So what if Martinez had a shot knee he got in there and trained and talked a lot of trash that he couldnt back up. Cotto deserves credit for looking the best he has looked in years and Sergio's run had to end eventually. Anytime a fighter wins so many of you try to find a way to discredit the win or talk trash about the fighter. Its such stupid bs because none of you would ever get in a ring train hard for 10-12 weeks out and sacrifice your life in that ring.

In the history of boxing, no fighter has ever said his leading up to a big fight, that he feels washed up, period. Its part of the game and the psychology behind the winner mentality. Its also one of the great ironies with great fighters, Ali, RJ, Oscar, Formann, All the Sugars, the have such winner mentalities that the refuse to loose to there own body. Truthfully, Martinez haven't looked that good since age 36. 35 is the normal retirement age for a pro boxers

sergio's knee's weren't the issue, the issue is that martinez has never been that fleet of foot, and cotto was far too fast majority of the time with his jumping in

Don't care what Martinez and his trainers say. Martinez's body has been deteriorating for years. The Martin Murray fight was no fluke, that was a sign of a shot fighter with shot knees. Am I a hater for predicting this would happen since the fight was rumored last year? Cotto deserves credit for the way he beat Martinez, just like Pacquiao deserves credit for the way he beat De La Hoya. The significance of the win and the championship is worth more than the name at this point.
