Some people.. The fight did NOT happen and likely ever wont and certainly at this point, shouldn't. All we have is speculation and there is no way you can possibly think your speculation trumps someone else's.. Why to believe that would make you a delusional, narcissist, auto fellatio performer. I know have seen more than just "some highlights" of both fighters and came to my conclusion the same way you did.. Just a different one. Gurgling your own jizz doesn't make you right and it doesn't count as scoring some head either. Seems some people might not realize how awkward Froch is as well.

One thing Joe never had Bombs in those feathers. Also Froch can bang with the best, including in the 12th. I think Froch would have a great chance of a KO on the most overly hyped brit in history!

If the fight was to take place now then Carl Froch would be the hands down favorite to win. However, if both were yet in their primes, then it would have been no contest. Joe would have won quite convincingly in a complete shut out. At best, Froch probably wouldn't have won more than a single round or two because Calzaghe's consistent awkwardness, slipperiness and volume punching would have constantly kept Carl off balance, to the point of him not being able to land anything of significance, in order to change the course of the fight.

Too bad this one didn't happen. I have always maintained that Froch would beat Calzaghe by KO. Stylistically, Froch is all wrong for JC.

I watched Calzaghe thinking he couldnt hit right and many boxers said the same thing about his "slapping" style. I was always amazed how he could win doing it. He seemed to have his elite level opponents perplexed as well. Make fun of him all you want to. NOBODY slapped as HARD and as OFTEN as Joe Calzaghe AND NO ONE knew how to deal with it. Froch gets overwhelmed by fast handed fighters who can go 12 rounds without slowing down. Calzaghe whips him easily 9 out of 10.

if they fought this christmas i see joe getting Bute'd in 3 rds or less but a fresh prime calzaghe might not get knocked out untill rounds 5-12 vs todays froch

Joe would win....he'd win damn near every round imo....but Froch has walked the far more respectable path which is why he's liked loved and respected on both sides of the water....Froch doesn't do anything great....he's just an old fashioned tough guy with a underrated boxing IQ....honest when needed and very funny with the trash talk Joe was this 100 punches per round slap machine with some slickness.....tough style to tame plus he had the ability to adjust when needed....tough match up for many imo.....especially slow hands and feet Froch
