I am a massive fan of Donaire and think he is a hell of an athlete but I've always felt like his best attribute as a fighter was being able to boil himself down to ridiculous weights. The size disparity in the 1st Darchinyan, Marquez, sidorenko, Montiel and Narvaez fights played a bigger role than ability. Since fighting people who are similar in size he hasn't looked the beast he once was.
Casamayor was always underrated in my opinion and was a great technician who also had enough power to change things if a fight wasn't going his way.
I think Donaire has an edge in resume due to his dominance and titles across 4/5 weight classes. Overall I think Casamayor is the better fighter, fighting the better opposition and maybe having the better wins (albeit fewer and with more losses). But I believe both fighters, prime for prime are great fighters who fall into the second tier just behind your Leonard's, Whitaker's and Lewis'.
Donaire, it's gotta be. By miles actually.
Donaire, while having a solid resume, has not faced as many great fighters as Casa did. That actually means something.
Casamoyer was a better fighter in terms of h2h
Donaire might edge it in the resume department, but Joel in his prime was a slick n dirty mover/counterpuncher... He would be a nightmare for donaire
Casamoyer fought higher caliber fighters in corrales, Castillo, jmm
It's really close but gotta give the edge to casamoyer
Let's not forget a old Casamayor was up on the cards against Marquez before the KD and KO,that was a great fight! Two of the greatest technicians landed some thudding blows this wasn't your ordinary chess match.
Donaire would of been eating straight lefts all night.
Lol like I said people have selective memories.

You think Donaire would of handle Casamayor's headbutts??? If he was crying about the South Africans headbutt imagine Casamayor. Casamayor would of made it really uncomfortable for Donaire.
Casamayor TKO10

I dont remember the cards and maybe memory is hazy but I'm pretty sure JMM was winning a good competitive fight quite clearly (again, if memory serves me right).

Donaire for me. Lets be honest...outside of Rigo how far back do you have to go to find a guy to beat Donaire from 115-122?? Casa was very very good in his era but didnt stand out as the absolute best.
In a p4p though, I think Casa gives Donaire all kinds of hell. That fight would likely come down to activity. Casa couldnt match much less surpass Nonito athletically though like Rigo did so it's an interesting match. Casa isnt as big a puncher either (p4p).
I gotta go with Nonito in a tough, competitive yet ugly fight that he wins clearly (via Rounds won) that the haters will say was a robbery because Nonito didnt stop him.
Casamayor would of embarrassed Donaire if they would of fought at 130. Casamayor was ducked by Morales,Barrera and Marquez and that's real. A prime Casamayor gives anybody problems and doughboy Donaire has fought nothing but paper champions to win titles.
Cepillo is so underrated, if he Mexican,Rican or Filipino he would of been considered a all time great.

Casa was a problem for anyone. That's for sure.

I was in awe of this woman's body when I saw game of thrones this Sunday. She is absolutely a perfect 10.
Wanted to make a gif out of the ass shot but of course I'll be told to take it down
I was in awe of this woman's body when I saw game of thrones this Sunday. She is absolutely a perfect 10. She is perfect and evrything looks natural by the way did you like the mountain killing the Red Viper after he was more or less dead himself?

I was gonna comment on his sig, but you beat me to it. She is the definition of a dime piece.
Donaire but a prime Casamayor was a better fighter, more versatile although that isn't saying much.

and why are we comparing the two?
Theres always an agenda behind this clown's threads.
He's trying to discredit Rigo's biggest win in his own way... some how. lol
And this might be it.
Donaire is not done yet, so this comparison isn't fair, and unfortunately Casamayor fought wayy longer than he should have and thats the Casa a lot of people remember.
