I do think the fight yesterday is a better seller. But who knows? Maybe the casuals who came to this one will come to see their Carl destroy that ****y Yank
Kinda' like how Ricky Hatton's wrestling skills didn't go over in England against Kosta Tsyzu? STFU you bias limey ***git. Ward beats Froch 100 out of 100 times. In England, or on Mars. There is no need for a rematch.
Ward should rematch Kessler in Copenhagen.
i think it should.
froch fought ward in his home country. so ward should fight froch in his home country. it only makes sense unless fear has gripped ward's mind and soul.
Please. Why would Ward be afraid of Froch? Did you even SEE their first fight? Froch looked like a rank amateur in there against Ward. Ward is A TERRIBLE fight for Froch any time. In England or not.
Ward knows his wrestling tactics won't wash here in the UK, the man is a fraud.

No way would that fight sell out wembley! The only reason that fight sold out wembley is cause it was two British fighters coming off the back of that controversial first fight, it would sell out manny arena or the 02 though.
But Ward ain't coming over here anyway, he's scared to leave Oakland to visit friends and family for the day ahaha!
Don't know why so many want this fight.
We know the outcome: Ward wins.
But just because Froch loses to Ward (no shame) doesn't mean he is not a top fighter with exciting options.
Besides, we need a an attraction so long ad Ward refuses to do what boxers do: fight. He is too inactive. Froch doesn't need Ward to validate his star power. He just filled Wembley.
do you guys really think andre ward chooses to be inactive? boxers get paid to fight, not to sit on the shelf.
the fact that he's broken his left hand several times, had a completely blown shoulder, and has serious promotional issues means nothing to you? or the fact that he signed to fight kelly pavlik, an alcoholic who lost his mind, means nothing?
i doubt it, but i really can't say.
groves was definitely part of the appeal of that fight. it was an "all british" fight, and british casuals ate it up.
are htey really goign to eat up a rematch of a fight that 90% of them didn't see, where their guy got his butt kicked? i doubt it.
froch-ottke would sell out a 700 capacity ballroom in germany. the fans would politely clap as ottke wins a split decision over froch.
They don't call him SDven for nothing. A Froch fight would be a cherrypick for him imo

The real question is, "is Carl Froch ducking Sven Ottke?" I say yes:boxing:

No chance. Froch could sell out a 20,000-30,000 arena against anyone though.
This was beyond huge, on the back of a great first fight with two entertaining fighters (in and out of the ring) who hate each other. All British helped.
Ward is extremely boring as far personality goes, and his clinch/headbutt tendencies aren't something a lot of people like. Great fighter, but never a PPV draw or even crowd attraction.
no one likes ward and he's so boring that he can't get people to come just to root against him. he's a failure.

I think it would be. I doubt it happens though. Wards not going to England to fight Froch. He should though. All the Americans traveled over seas in the super six except for him. Froch fight him once in the USA. It's wards turn now to travel.
Not at all. The only stadium it would fill would be the city ground in Nottingham which would be about 40,000 maybe? and thats because its Froch's hometown. Other than that, it is an Arena size fight. The majority of the crowd there last night were casual fans caught up in the Sky TV network hype and press. Ward is unknown in the UK unless you're a dedicated boxing fan.
