I'd love to see this fight. I got Froch. He wouldn't give ground to Jr. I can see him popping that jab and landing straight shots all night. Froch by UD or possibly late stoppage.

I've always wanted to see Froch fight Bika. It would be real balls to the wall stuff. But Chavez is good too. But it is hard to make a case for Chavez winning. Stylistically, it would be the is the easiest fight Froch's had since Abraham. Not that Bika is any great puzzle but he is just sooooo aggressive. The fight would be banter!

If he's going to Vegas to fight Chavez, I'll be going. DeGale seems pretty adamant he has a mandatory spot tho, interview is on IFL. To be fair to JDG, he earned his spot tonight.

The difference between Chavez now and 168 is enormous. Hell, a four pound weight deficit at SMW can feel like three times that weight when the punches start landing. What happened to the (you know - sensible) days when fans wouldn't dream of favouring the new arriver to the weight division until he'd actually delivered once or twice in a competitive fight?

Would be a pretty good fight but Froch would win. Chavez would for once be fighting a guy equal in size, if not bigger and stronger than him. Chavez might even get stopped actually.

The only fighters from 160-175 who would beat Froch are Andre Ward and Bernard Hopkins and I am not sure about Hopkins. Froch would beat Chavez, GGG and Kovalev by knockout or unanimous decision. You are giving too much credit to Chavez, who has NEVER beaten an A-level opponent. People also give too much credit to GGG and Kovalev for beating C-class opponents.

Chavez's chin will surely play against him and keep him taking punishment from Froch who is not hard to find which may be Chavez's chance to land a left hook. Chavez will need to let his hand go though and make it a war of wills which plays into the more experienced fighter in Froch. As the fight goes on it will be in Froch's favor imo and will win on the cards although im interested to see if he can stop Chavez with a ko.

Na, Froch decisions him easy. Battle of the iron chins, but if Froch can outpoint a much more skilled guy compared to Chavez like Kessler, no way he loses to Chavez. Chavez doesn't have the work rate or speed, or extreme skills to really trouble Froch. It wouldn't be a whitewash and Chavez could win some rounds but this is a 65-35 fight for the Cobra. No real signs of Carl slowing down either. Let's not forget, what did we really learn? Froch has always had problems against speedy skilful boxers. But he gets the job done...he would beat Chavez IMO. :boxing: I have to disagree with the part of Froch not slowing down. Carl is almost 37 years old and was in a lot of wars, the guy tonight was not the same one who beat Pacal and easily outboxed AA, Carl is clearly slowing down and Chavez would cathc him at the right time in they fight at the end of the year or early 2015
