I don't believe any of the ringside face off was hype. It's clear that froch is confident this time and groves can see that, meaning more pressure and more punches groves his gonna have to throw to keep froch back. My view is groves is smart and knows that he won't make it the 12 rounds and has no other choice but to go for big punches early against a over confident froch. Whatever way it goes, I think it will be a shorter fight than last time. What do people think?
Me: Froch ko groves in rounds 6-8 but small chance of groves stopping aging froch in 3-5
I don't think he's been "over confident" at any point. Groves causes him dis-ease but Froch does ALOT to try and create the opposite appearance. What troubled Carl the most, it seemed, is how much this extended beyond everything that went on outside the ring - once in it. He did not look like himself at all to me in the last fight. Nothing like the devil may care Froch I'm accustomed to.
If this happens again he may still win, but either way Froch gives me the feeling, regardless of anything, he's about as uneasy with George Groves as he has been any adversary to date. And I don't think he has any explanation for that. Perhaps his sports psychologist has had some answers for him. I commend him for trying to take that step. Everyone seems to have some strange spiritual vulnerability to certain other random people/things.
He doesn't look over confident in the build up. He looks pretty ready to me:

Froch wouldn't have a career if he wasn't ridiculously confident, thats what gets him through fights.
On a technical level, he's one of the worst fighters I've ever seen, he wins almost purely on the fact he has confidence and is physically very strong. You won't see many fighters as bad as he is technically, win at the top level.
Groves was the young pup last time and he whooped up on the arrogant Froch. This time, he knows that he has what it takes to put a beating on Froch and he will set up his punches much better. I think Froch gets bloodied and hurt in this fight and loses a decision because of all the damage he sustains during the beatdown.
Froch seems to have a bigger chip on his shoulder this time around,(if that's even possible) which can and will lead to overly aggressive mistakes.
I'm still leaning Groves, but he has to be smart and not buy-in to the macho mentality. If Groves boxes like he capable and let's the fight come to him, he will beat Froch. But if Groves let's himself gets into a Froch-type brawl, then he is going to get hammered because Froch is a powerful dude.
I agree. Groves had his way with Froch and I think his youth and lack of discipline let Froch get just a bit of momentum going when it shouldn't have happened. Groves can win this very easily if he just boxes him because Froch has no answer for that.

I think he was over confident last time.
He thought all he needed was to land one punch.
This time he knows that's not the case.
This.
Last time Froch tought who is this fücking kid that disrespects me im gonna knock him the fück out.
This time Froch is equally annoyed but knows that Groves can outbox him and hurt him.
