According to an announcement on his official blog, it seems likely that Nobuhiro Ishida (25-10-2, 10) will continue with his professional boxing career.
We had anticipated an announcement of his retirement following Ishida's loss, back in April, to Kyotaro Fujimoto (9-1, 5) though it appears that the popular fighter has decided to continue on with his career after reviewing the footage of his fight with Fujimoto and having spoken, in depth with his wife.
Aged 38 Ishida is at the tail end of his career, though it seems like he is enjoying his boxing just as much as he did when he scored his career defining victory over the much touted American James Kirkland. With that in mind he may be looking to push his career as far as he can before hanging up the gloves on a career that has been genuinely great fun to follow.
I'm in favor of it... should be fun. Nobuhirio should be able to fully adapt to his weight class after jumping up from 160 to HW in less than a year.
Bring on the Ishida Rematch for New Years

Ishida is back and still targeting the JP HW title.
A shame if Fujimoto refuses to fight him if Ishida wins...
Dang... Fujimoto is avoiding Ishida like the plague

Guess we'll have to wait for the JBC to order it
He's probably hoping for a Murata payday lol
Kind of hard at HW. He should've stayed if he wanted it, but looks like he'll chase JBC gold again

so is Fujimoto ducking him? lol
People are saying he doesn't want too....and unless he has somebody that's a bigger name than Ishida.... then probably.
I guess he doesn't want to suffer a loss against a guy who's moving up from 160....that'd suck
