Shawn Porter is an example of a boxer who is doing it all the right way

Who's he getting great sparring from in Mayweathers gym??? All of TMT fighters suck. I'll agree with u about him actually sparring Pacquiao but unless he's sparring Floyd, he's wasting his time in that gym.

A classic case of how a swarmer is supposed to deal with a feather-fisted jabber who has a non existent defense & gets hyped up to the hills. Paulie couldn't keep a 70yr old lady off of him Paulie himself is overrated. If he had power, listen man if he had power he'd still be an overachieving hugely basic boxer. WTF is supposed to be good about him? He has a 'decent' jab, that is it. Same with Devon, exactly what he should be doing against a defensive fighter who can't keep him honest. Bumrush them! I ain't impressed with the guy, he fought two very limited opponents who have severely flattered him. He apparently beats Marquez, Manny, Floyd etc by K.O now He couldn't even K.O Julio Diaz To be fair, he's still improving. A lot of fighters have a Julio Diaz somewhere early in their career. People have gone overboard, but he's been impressive these last two fights. He was supposed to be a stay busy fight for Devon, after all.

I wouldn't miss with Porter he looks like he has cave man strength like those Neanderthals from BC

At the start you wouldn't say he was overly gifted or skilled so what does his dad do? Takes him to be Pacquiao's chief sparring partner and you can tell some of that has rubbed off on his style. After sparring Pacquiao he's now in the Mayweather boxing gym getting sparring from some of the best talent in the world, all the while he stepped up his competition slowly but surely to the point he is now a legit world champion. So many of the great fighters of yesteryear learnt from others in their stable, like Holmes and Ali. Porter is doing all the right things. Kell Brook who I would say was more talented than Porter is simply not getting the work than Shawn has gotten the past 4-5 years and is not improving as rapidly, right now Porter would be the favourite over Kell. I found this funnier on second read.

I like Porter but he needs to train at wild card or at Robert Garcia's gym. Besides Floyd there is no talent to challenge him at the Mayweather gym.Dodger, I get it you are a Mikey. Yes, he's really in the Mayweather gym lately. He talks a bit about it here, and he lives in Vegas so it's convenient anyway you know. I knew that because his Dad kept going on about "the little boy down the road" (Mayweather).

The moment Brook joined with hearns, they were too busy trying to position him as a star, rather than trying to work with him and develop a great talent. Brook hasn't been looked after physically, too many injuries, too many low key bouts although Senchenko and Jones are not bad opponents but some 2-3 years ago, Brook was looking great, now he already looks like a has-been. However, I do think, if he ups his game and brings his best, he can beat Porter but I'm just not sure if he has that fire anymore.
