Apparently the plan is to leave it for the last fight, after his showtime contract runs out, so May 2016.
2013 - Can't do business with Arum
2014 - Can't do business with Arum
2015 - Can't do business with Arum
2016 - Can do business with Arum
Roadblock expires in 2 years time! :lame:
I have been suspecting that for years now, leaving it til his last fight, it would be cool to see him school Manny and then turn around and retire.
What's hilarious is that people want this fight so badly but I have never met anyone with knowledge of the sport that actually thinks Manny, any version of Manny has a chance. I just want to see the fight for the ultimate midle finger to his nut hugging fans, other than that I can care less about this fight anymore, Floyd doesn't need it on his resume it won't change too much at this point, and Manny sure doesn't need another possible TKO loss. :lol1: Though it won't hurt his legacy too much either unless he goes down the path of Toneey or Jones Jr.
Sorry but Maidana exposed Floyd .... so it's just a matter of getting the right guy do the job. Manny could have done it in 2009/2010.
Bob did mention in his statement as well that it is a possibility floyd could let his showtime contract run out and go back to hbo for one last fight against obviously manny

I agree with this 100%. I believed this for a while and then Roach mentioned that Arum wanted it for Manny's final fight.
Now this.....I cant see this being just a coincidence. Both camps finally saying the same thing over the course of a few months leads me to believe both Arum and Floyd have being playing boxing fans for years.
After all both sides have made more money by taking parallel paths and using each other to boost sales than they could have made with one fight.
Now because they have played this so well they can still have the fight and cash out at the end.
Yeah that's what I was thinking, to me it's obvious that both camps have been and still are in collaboration with each other. They must be stupid not to, there's way way way too much money to be made
Like someone else said the window is closing. It has to happen by September 2015 at the very latest. It should be this september or November. However, the road blocks are already being put up. If you are a man , then step up to the plate. Pay per view numbers and stats are good, put the 0 on the line and you will earn the respect you so badly crave.
I want to make a serious comment on this but it's hard to take SR seriously. What he says doesn't mean anything when it comes down to who Floyd fights.

Just stop it Senior. Floyd doesnt like challenges or fights where he may get hit. Floyd cried all through the Maidana fight to Tony Weeks. Floyd isnt fighting Pacquiao ever.
Hope Pac don't lose again chasing a ko. People always expect Pac to KO people so Pac tried to give Floyd fans what they wanted and then got ko'ed.
But Floyd and Pac never happened because it didn't happen when it should've. Similar to Tyson v Holyfied and Lennox Lewis. Those fights didn't happen as far as im concerned.
