They're too embarrassed to announce the real figures, which is probably around 500K-600K. This site was like any normal day during and after the fight. The traffic was smooth as butter. I thought to myself, "Wow, this fight definitely bombed." The last Chavez fight was way busier.
They can't even settle for 700K-800K. They have to lie and make it appear it's close to a million, 900K. What a joke.
First time I've actually seen something like it. High profile fights usually generate huge traffic at NSB, PPV or not. You can't even see postings without logging in in some cases. Pac fights have the most traffic. They even last for hours and hours.
This particular fight made me think about the authenticity of these numbers. While Schaefer jacks up numbers, Arum does the complete opposite, maybe for tax cheating purposes, cheat Pac, or something... Pac/Marquez fights will always be huge. I was in one of them and it was packed like sardines. Weeks later, Arum reports numbers you don't expect.

there is a direct relationship between ppv sales and post fight traffic? the traffic was busy after the chavez/vera and manny/tim 1 fights because people logged on to discuss horrible judging decisions most likely.
I didn't hear Espinoza, Floyd, or GBP, brag about the #s once.
Which can only mean one thing... It bombed and lost $.
I keep on saying it, GBP, Haymon, Showtime, cannot keep up the business structure they created, you can't expect to pay fighters this kind of $ and still pull a profit. It's impossible, and that's why it's all starting to crash on them.

Agreed, I remember after the PAC/Bradley 2, this site went full retard until the next morning lol.

Showtime nor GBP came out and gave a number for the buy rate, and it's been a month now since the fight. Everything is just speculation based on differing sources.
The actual number must be abysmal though. At least for Guerrero they tried to pull a fast one by saying the number was 'around a million' when it was actually 870K. This time, they just went straight gag order. Very telling.
I believe they reported it to Mannix at SI and Fat Dan at espn. Other less credible sources have speculated other numbers.
I'm content with the reliable sources for ghost and this fight. If other go with other numbers, fine with me.
there are 2 sources now confirming arum was wrong. this thread can be closed.

Uhhhh, that's what I'm saying. People are using whatever they can to discredit the numbers, make Floyd look bad, make Showtime look bad..
I'm just stating this, cause I don't get what drives people to do that.
Hatred and envy.
Theres no way around it. Mayweather VS Maidana was a big time Flop! You have to give it to Pac to be able to draw more buys with such a crappy PPV with Bradley. Manny proved to be the bigger star if you go by their last PPV.
green k for telling the truth! :fingersx:
how much did Maidana get and how much did Rios get?
you may now take the Floyd-named dildo out of your fat ass and insert it in your mouth and proceed to STFU
"bu but, when someone fights floyd, its like winning the lottery".
Well, so much for that.
Anyways, when Bob says, "Mannys afraid of needles", "SEE, BOB SAID IT, BOB SAID IT".
When Bob says the PPV flopped, "LIAR, SCUMBAG, POS, I WISH HE WOULD DIE":soapbox:
can you have him remove it please. I will give you 12 points and green k.
lol how am I supposed to get him to remove it? Besides, it's been quoted a number of times now. Just claim sarcasm.

Wow, something we can agree on. How times have changed.
Pac is again in the driver seat.
