People have been saying that since a pressure fighter gave Floyd a tough fight. But manny struggles with a counter punching Juan each and every time. So that must mean PAC will struggle with Floyd right?
Imo
Certain pressure fighters can overwhelm a counterpuncher
And certain counter puncher can handle certain pressure fighters.
Styles make fights, but certain guys make triangle theories
Pointless.
Imo
Juan had 4 fights, and he took a beating before that ko.
And did good work. But look how it all started in round 1/fight 1
Marcos showed a piece of cotto and castillo vs floyd with his own stuff.
He showed what those other two did ,you can force floyd to the ropes and mess up his timing.

Watch these videos and see floyd ran into a guy who may have his number
A good argument can be made for all these hypothetical ducks on both sides.
That's the reason this fight needs to happen.
I'm a PAC fan and I can come up with a great reason why it's Floyd's fault.
A Floyd fan can come up with a great argument on why it pacs fault or now arums fault.
Both take on easy fights and they are the bigger ducker at the time. The next year the other takes the harder fight and the
Script is fliped.
This is post is as real as it gets. Nice.:biggthump
I had a dream Pacquiao KOd Mayweather and Hopkins for some reason came running into the ring and raised Pacquiaos hand up declaring him the winner. Crazy i know...
you make it sound as if manny would get 40 and FMJ 250...
if the fight would have made 3M PPV buys for 100 dallar each buy.
the total PPV would generate 150M
Pac stopped negotiating, very shortly after the initial offer of 40M. that surely sounds like someone who really wants it.
Both have made enough during the time without fighting each other and both were cool with that. Both were the A- side and could have good advantageous splits with their opponents. All cool, now that FMJ has made clear that he is about to retire, i would hope pacman finally walks the walk. If eventually they fight most peeps will say ok atleast they fought, i think most peeps will be ok with that eventually.
When Manny was asked by Steven A. Smith himself on ESPN First Take, this was before the Marquez 4th fight, he asked Manny about the 40mill offer by Floyd and Manny did said that he turned down the 40mill... But, he added right after that, he countered Floyd by offering 45/45 split with the winner getting the extra 10%, and Floyd turned Manny down.. You can look for it in youtube...
Haha!
Biggest prize fight in the history of humanity expected to make upwards around a quarter billion and one guy is offered only $40 million?
Get real buddy.

without explanation.. everyone knows why floyd ducking pac
his nickname is "money".. but wont fight in the biggest money making fight possible.. think about that mind blowing sht
he calls himself the best ever.. but just barely beat maidana.. an 18-1 underdog, no where near top 15 p4p, already beaten by kotelnik khan nd alexander.. whom was wearing sparring gloves.. now think about that mind blowing sht
floyd not gna fight manny.. if he does expect floyd to pull what clottey did against pac OR what hatton did against pac. lol
dont let floyd mind fck you dckheads.. floyd actions speak louder than his words. floyds actions speak louder than his fans words. it is what it is, just think about it..
Is a glass half full or half empty?
Talking about money, you could also argue that Manny unlike most fighters wants the largest slice of the pizza compared to what others want. FMJ harldly ever pays his opponent more than 10-15M but manny services are a minimum of 40M.
About the boxing itself, FMJ is considered by pretty much 99% of the boxing experts as the most gifted fighter alive. I dont see why that needs to be defended. For the record unbeaten and i cant even remember a knockdown so far. The moment someone knocks FMJ down than there is something new going on from a sport perspective.
Maidana did good but you people shouldnt exagerate!!
The waiting is on Manny tho' 2014 will be the year of truth, Bradley made a choice not to fight FMJ, lets see what Manny does.
2014 will give us all the answers :)
Are u guys serious lol. Is it really that hard to understand. When I said I didn't mention marquez I meant in that specific post where I agreed with Kev. All I'm saying is "PAC beats Floyd cause Marcos did good" is the same logic as "Floyd beats PAC cause jmm does good" am I right or wrong
You're completely ignoring the last sentence in my op
Its not the same logic doe. Theads a failure, a butthurt one at that.
First of all it was before he fought Bradley. Second, in looking at the last ppvs manny sold 1.3 mill with marquez and floyd sold 1.25 mill with victor Ortiz so I'm not buying that floyd was a big enough star to command 75% of te purse which what the 40 mill offer leaves him. Lastly on leaving top rank, yeah that was extremely successful for cotto right.... Fail!
You're forgetting that Pacquiao looked horrible in the 3rd Marquez fight and many thought he lost so he's stocks dropped, especially when facing an undefeated fighter.
But why hang up the phone? Isn't that a cunt move to a guy that was willing to call you to make the fight...especially from such a nice guy like Manny Pacquiao. Why not say "Ok Floyd I would like to make the fight too but 40m is a bit low, let's meet somewhere so we can negotiate?" Hanging up the phone in Floyd's face pretty much says he doesn't want to fight.
You are off with your facts...Floyd offered him $40,000,000 JUST before he got sparked by JMM. At this time Floyd was completely re-established as the P4P #1 fighter and had still had more success in terms of ppv then Manny.
As for Pac leaving Arum,it is his choice as MANY other fighters gained more financial success once they left Bob....even JCC, Garcia, etc recently will be leaving Arum because he is not paying good enough. Manny has ran out of rehashed opponents, so whether he fights Floyd or not, he still needs to get more varied opponents-and they are all with Golden Boy atm.
As boxing fans, we should all want Pac to leave Top Rank, because this would open up more exciting fights for him.

Many people confuse pressure fighting with volume punching. PAC is much easier to hit than Floyd to the head with lead hands. I don't see the shorter PAC coming in the ring at 165lbs either. Manny has serious issues with right hands and I'd expect Floyd to land them with ease. Id also expect Floyd to easily be able to control the distance with PAC being smaller, shorter and with a short reach. Add to the fact that PAC is more cautious after the KO by JMM, this would be a difficult fight for PAC to win at this stage.
Why do you need to analyze all the words?
If action speaks louder that words
Look at who Pacquiao fought and how he fought them
Look at who Floyd fought and how he fought them
It's quite clear who took more risks
I really hope you're not implying that Pacquiao took more risks...
I'm so tired of people disrespecting Maidana. He's been the underdog ever since he moved up in weight and has done nothing but win spectacularly. He also just arguably fought a draw or beat the number 1 PFP fighter in the world.
Great post. Well said.
I tried to summarize the whole debacle and failed....
Trying to make that statement by Freddie as an admission of somekind is a reach....
