It was an oversight by you, I'll forgive you. Maidana still isn't elite, he has his shaky moments in his wins too, and those really bad performances that leave him wanting to retire.
No it wasn't an oversight at all, what was an oversight is you calling Herrera/Alvarado an outboxing.
Kalambay/McCallum is an outboxing. Doubt you've heard of them though.
This. Bradley almost stopped Ruslan, Maidana would have a field day with him. That would be a nice tune up fight for the rematch.
Bradley almost stopped Ruslan but gets put down hard in the 12th? Strange.
Why would I need to mention Herrera? Just another fight he took a lot of punches in.
Herrera
Prescott (getting beat up badly)
Rios (stopped)
Rios (rocked by a jab lol)
Provodnikov (got beat up again)
Maidana would seriously end his career.

Maidana, too big and strong. Featherfist Bradley had Provo nearly stopped.

You couldn't even remember he beat Herrera. Herrera would school Maidana. :lol1:
Maidana nearly lost to old Corley and Morales, but all of a sudden he's elite since Floyd. Really amusing stuff.

Herrera was a war. There was no outboxing going on :lol1:
Get off of boxrec.

Uh, he outboxed Herrera, the guy who should be light welter champ. Herrera would school Maidana badly.

They really aren't far apart in anything. Maidana has been elevated to elite status just because he gave Floyd more trouble than what people thought. If he rematches Alexander, he'll want to retire again.
No, Maidana is a top welter because he earned it. What'd Alvarado do besides outbox Rios lolz.
Yes but they are far apart in ability.
Alvarado was a wrestler who took up boxing late. Maidana has not taken anywhere near Alvarado's punishment.

He doesn't like body shots, and those 2 aren't far apart in size.

We'd have to see it, but at the moment I'd lean towards Maidana pushing Ruslan back rather than the opposite.
Haven't ever seen Ruslan get pushed back more than a brief second, Maidana has been pushed back in several fights.
A fight where anything can happen. Ruslan landed crushing body shots to break down Alvarado. I'm sure their gameplan would be to go downstairs, and then the fight gets interesting. Maidana is soft to the body.
Alvarado is not Maidana.
